Staff - the staff were absolutely fantastic - attentive, helpful, polite and happy. Dinuka and his team went out of there way to ensure our stay was special. Dinuka was always happy to have a conversation and give us interesting facts about Sri Lanka and the food that we were eating, as well offering tips of where to visit during our time. Not only this but Dinuka always showed an interest in what we were doing for the day, and seemed genuinely interested, always asking how it went when we returned to the hotel. Throughout our stays in Sri Lanka and around the world I would say this was best service we have ever received. Food - the breakfast which was included in our stay was nothing short of brilliant. A wide range of things to choose off the menu and huge portions. One of the evenings Dinuka went to a local fish market on the day and chose a fish for us to eat one of the nights which was cooked to perfection in a marinade and served to us on the beach. It is clear that Dinuka and his team have a genuine love of their job, and enjoy providing their guests with the best service possible. We also had dinner in the hotel a few other nights and they offer a wide range of food - all of the food we had was very good and fresh. They also offer a drinks menu with beers and cocktails. It is well catered for all. Facilities - the hotel is on the beach and has a swimming pool also. With only four rooms in the hotel we were often in the pool by ourselves or on the beach by ourselves. The beach is very quiet as there is no public access and as such makes the stay feel that extra bit special. The room was comfortable and had AC. It was clean, tidy and the staff cleaned it daily for us. We also got upgraded on arrival to a slightly bigger room as it was available by Dinuka which was very kind. Although this hotel is expensive, it was definitely worth the money. We spent five nights here and loved our stay.

Featuring a balcony with garden views, an infinity pool and an open-air bath, Saltasia Boutique Beach Villa can be found in Mirissa, close to Thalaramba Beach and less than 1 km from Mirissa Beach. Amazing stay. The chef was the most welcoming and accommodating and made our stay very special, he even organized a surprise candlelit birthday dinner for my friend. The Villa is very picturesque. They made us feel like family. Also the best food we’ve had in SriLanka.

A recently renovated property, Breeze Blows- Solitude Holiday Home is set in Matara near Matara Beach, Polhena Beach and Madiha Beach. Very comfortable. Good mosquito nets! The property has an excellent bathroom, lovely bed, laundry facilities, kitchen, fridge and freezer, good WiFi, powerful fans. 100% happy ! The hostess was charming, and her local knowledge very helpful. We had THE BEST time here.

A few steps from Dickwella Beach, Kaas Villas Dikwella is a recently renovated property situated in Dickwella and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The villa has 3 floors, one with a livingroom, kitchen, toilet and entry. The private garden has a pool which was really nice! We think it was much nicer than the pictures show. Comfortable bed in a room on the 2nd floor with excellent AC. It even has a large roof top area. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They served great breakfast every morning inside the villa that was enjoyed in privacy. The villa is just acoss the small road from the beach, really close. There are no other places that we are aware of with closer proximity to the beach. There are quite a lot of small beach bars at this side of the beach which provide nice sun beds with or without coverage from the sun. Just a 5 min walk from Kaas is the main street with food stores. Hiriketiya beach is a 15 min walk over a hill. You can fint good surfing here. Bars and restaurant mainly close at midnight. Not a lot that is happening after this hour.

Featuring garden views, Ru Retreat Weligama offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 800 metres from Weligama Beach. We stayed in the unit for 2 weeks and it was a great experience! The owners are always happy to help and the unit was clean and cozy. There is a very good AC which is important in Sry Lanka and there is a small grocery store right across the street so you can get water and basic foods without carrying it. Overall it was great value for money and we highly recommend it!!

We loved our stay here. Nice and quiet. Very nice family. Nice garden and place to hang out outside. Comfortable beds. Highly recommend.
