The location was amazing, great to be right up in Alishan for when we took the morning training and it was right next to food and shops. Plus, the staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Set in Zhongzheng, Chiayi County region, 登山別館 is located 33 km from Jiao Lung Waterfall. The property is non-smoking and is situated 300 metres from Alishan Forest Railway. After a whole day with a very cold weather, we jumped with joy to find the bed with temperature adjustment and Heater in the room! the facility is a bit old but clean and all usable. There is a bathtub as well!

Set in Alishan Mountain, Maria Hotel a warm and comfortable place to stay in Chiayi. Free WiFi is available in all areas and free parking is provided on site. We went with our 8 months old baby. Owner Leon was very kind to explain to us where we should go stargazing. He also advised us that the water heater will take awhile to heat up. This was helpful because it was pretty cold. There was also heater on the bed. Love the warm reception from the and his parents.

Gau Shan Ching also provided the base location for my flawless hike up Yushan in perfect weather and return for rest and relaxation before eventual departure. Awesome, mei li, hen hao from someone who has been on the top of mountains all over thew world. Viva Yushan!
