Spacious and clean rooms with great sea view. Helpful and hospitable staff and owners. Good, well-maintained facilities and a lovely pool. Breakfast is 'a la carte', starting with a fruit platter and continuing with a great variety of options. There was no restriction - you could order everything you liked from the menu. Hotel was very helpful in arranging our transportation to/from Zanzibar ferry terminal (it is strongly recommended to book a taxi through the hotel, as it is much cheaper and safer than any 'driver' approaching you outside the ferry). The hotel also arranged for us a visit to the Blue Lagoon (again at a much lower price that what tourists could find on their own), where we had a chance to see the spectacular coral reef and its exotic marine species. One of the greatest assets of the hotel is its location right on the beautiful Paje beach, ideal for relaxation, jogging or water sports. (First-time visitors are advised not to pay too much attention to locals trying to sell you stuff, as they will not leave you alone until you buy something from them - usually overpriced at 'tourist rates'.) Around the hotel there is a local market, where you can buy spices, local handicraft and other goods. For handicraft, be prepared to negotiate hard, as the initial quoted prices are quite high.

Baobab Africa Lodge Zanzibar está en Mtende, a 35 km de Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, y dispone de alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y terraza. I travelled with my kids and to be honest this place did not feel like a lodge or hotel, it felt like home away from home. Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.

Un sitio idílico. En frente del mar, en una zona muy tranquila y agradable de Zanzíbar (Jambiani). Todo el staff un encanto, muy alegres y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Las habitaciones muy espaciosas, limpias y bonitas. Todas las instalaciones del hotel muy cuidadas. Vistas directas a primera línea mar y a la piscina del hotel. Desayuno súper rico, así como la comida y cena a la carta. 100% recomendable: si volvemos a Zanzibar repetiremos sin duda!

BaraBara Eat&Sleep - Eco Boutique Hotel dispone de bicicletas gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Paje. El desayuno es increíble!!! El mejor que hemos probado en toda la isla. Los dueños y el personal muy atentos y muy amables, te atienden siempre con una sonrisa. Y las pizzas de la cena son brutales!!! Especial mención a la pizza No Name que está brutal!!! Repetiríamos sin duda!!!

Have stayed in so many other places in Zanzibar over the years for vacation, but this time around I met the unexpected. The One Resort has this ‘Je ne sais quoi’ that gives real substance to the infamous saying ‘feel at home away from home’. Everything is made to make you feel so special and yet all customers have the same treat. Coming from Cameroon to celebrate my 20th wedversary with my lovely wife, we are now leaving with our memories full of agreeable and unforgettable souvenirs. First the staff or may I say the One Resort family: Kind, available, supportive, always smiling and ready to go the extra mile for your utmost satisfaction. What about our room? Didn’t expect it to be so large, white clean with all the amenities included. The view to the sea and swimming pool was just wow! I still wonder whether they mistakenly upgraded the room we booked for, but ssssshhhh!!!! Don’t go and tell them because you may also benefit from the same ‘mistake’ when you come. Talking about the food, I think the Chef deserves an award. The quality, refinedness and variety of meals served is far above expectation. Maybe they sneaked him out of the ‘Rock’ restaurant just for the time of our sojourn. What else to say? The beach is constantly kept clean, the activities offered are very enticing. Can you imagine after so many attempts to swim with dolphins in so many years, I finally succeeded. You may call it a coincidence, but I consider it part of the ‘je ne sais quoi’ I mentioned earlier. I won’t end without extending my sincere thanks to the top Management of the Hotel. They would come to me every day to check and make sur I was fully satisfied and to suggest adjustments if any. I won’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, especially for honeymooners and those celebrating any other particular event. The One Resort has special packages for you!
