Comfortable room and well equipped. The restaurant terrace is lovely and with an amazing view. The location of the hotel is quiet and truly beautiful. Staff was very good too.
Built in the beginning of the 1900’s and situated on rocks sloping into the sea, it has the charm of a colonial villa and the comforts of a modern hotel.

the view from the terrace is the only good thing about this place
But it had no chairs or tables, no shade either . the terrace furniture was in the kitchen , where there were two tables and eight chairs

The view and pool were just amazing! We loved having our own terrace equipped with a hammock, chairs and a little salon table. This gave us some extra privacy when we wanted to have a glass of wine at our room.
Set just 20 metres from the coast and a pebble-stone beach, Hotel Santa Marina features a furnished terrace and spacious air-conditioned rooms. Wi-Fi is free in all public areas.

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from.
There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi.
If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day.
This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina.
Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base.
On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.
Incredible service! The staff here, in particular Melania the manager, were absolutely amazing. They arranged a shuttle (for free) to and from the Rinella port, helped us negotiate a price for our moped, and gave us great ideas on where to go. The breakfast was very good, and the staff’s attentiveness was top notch. The hotel itself was in good shape, has a wonderful view of the sea, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Wifi was reliable and air conditioning worked. Overall, excellent value and we loved our stay here! Thank you!
Mariella and Carlos are friendly and obliging hosts and their home is an historic house with a special history and unique charm that's been in the family for generations. It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.
The staff is very friendly and take good care of their guests. The restaurant is excellent but popular in the neighbourhood so reservations are recommended.
The little village of Leni has a lot of charm. It's quiet and calm and there is nothing to do... Perfect for a laid back holiday disconnecting from the busy city life.
There is an hourly bus service and if you can drive a scooter, renting one is a great idea to get around. That's how the Italians do it.
Alessio, who helped us throughout our stay, was incredible. He booked a lot of great activities for us, had superb recommendations and was overall extremely friendly.
The hotel is in an amazing location: right by the sea, with the sound of the waves to fall asleep to, and the view on the open sea.
Rinella is truly magnificent, so much nature to see around, such a special place, we loved it.
The location is amazing a real treat to relax, read and swim in outstanding beaches. Francesca made us feel so welcome and was very helpful in advising us on what to do in the area. Her hotel is spotless and the breakfast each morning was fabulous. Home made cakes & beautiful jams. Her little boy "Julio" was adorable. A special place that has left us with wonderful memories.
The staff was incredible, always very available to guide us towards a pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious and homemade. We were greeted with regional food and fresh water at our arrival. The suite was very comfortable and with a great view. If i were to return to salina, would definitely return to Al Belvedere. The best hotel we were lodged in our week stay at the aeoli.
The bedroom is small, a bit hard to move around. Also, we went there in October and there were a few cold days. It would have been nice to have a warm blanket. 😉 There were no restaurants in Leni, at least not in October. Rinella was within a 10 minute walking distance, but did not have much better options, either.
The staff is amazingly welcome, accommodating to our needs.
The Hotel is nicely decorated, very new, and good restaurants and bar at the hotel and very close by. Walking distance to the beach, even it includes a semi private rocky beach with a nice and relaxing solarium. Best place to have aperitivo in the village.
Michele welcomed us from the moment he picked us up. He was very helpful and accomodating. We had an early departure the following morning and he went out of his way to give us our breakfast. All staff were very nice.
Hotel was very comfortable and the area was beautiful. We wish we'd spent a couple more days.
There was a mixup with our room (not their fault), however Leticia went out of her way to not only do her best to rectify the problem, but to make sure our stay was exceptional. This hotel was the perfect example of how much difference wonderful customer service makes to a hotel experience.
thank you!!
Michele and Melania were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and air conditioned (a necessity given the high temperatures during my stay!). The hotel has a terrace with a beautiful view-an ideal location for an evening drink and breakfast! I would definitely recommend it!
such a beautiful location right on the water and in such a cute and quiet town. the rooms are very nice and comfortable, perfect to return to after a day exploring the island. the hotel staff were also so lovely, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Our hosts were beyond helpful and gave us great restaurant and exploration recommendations. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning with lovely cappuccinos and had cocktails with little appetizers at the hotel that were amazing!
