Hotel Ravenna, hotel in Ravenna

Hotel Ravenna is set just 100 metres from Ravenna Train Station and a short walk from the historic centre. Here you will have free parking, a lounge, and a bar.

A very charming little hotel with very friendly and cheerful staff. Even though objectively some things in the interior could be modernized, it gives a very charming and retro feeling to it all - and of course everything works! It is next to the station and about a 7 minute walk to the historic centre with all the important museumsnand mosaics. Personally, the town's traffic is a bit confusing, but since Hotel Ravenna is close to the station it's very easy to reach by car without all the confusion - and there's available parking spots in front of the hotel which are covered by cameras. In short: This hotel has the soul of this beautiful ancient little city and for this low price you won't find anything better and closer to the centre.

FAQs about hotels in Ravenna

A Walker's Paradise Filled with Charming Surprises

Once a capital of the Western Roman Empire, Ravenna is a walker’s paradise and is home to several historical landmarks, magnificent mosaics, great fashion outlets, and charming streets lined with cafés, restaurants and bars.

Piazza del Popolo is considered the heart of Ravenna and was historically the civil and administrative centre of the city. It features the 15th-century Palazzetto Veneziano, the 17th-century Palazzo Comunale, and the 18th-century clock tower.

The most popular landmarks in the city are San Vitale, Mausoleo di Galla Placida, Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and Dante Alighieri’s Tomb, whilst the Cervia Thermal Baths and Mirabilandia theme park are great options for a day trip.

After a day of discovery and sightseeing, be sure to head towards the coast for a revitalising swim or relaxing sun bathe at one of the several beaches scattered along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea.

Ravenna Station offers direct routes to Bologna and Rimini. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation options in Ravenna, Cervia, Milano Marittima and throughout the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Ravenna is a quiet and charming town. I enjoyed visiting the mosaics and sitting in a cafe frequented by many local people. I felt like I got a more authentic view of life in Italy than in Rome or Florence. It was a relaxed visit.

We were on a one night stay to take a cruise and had we known how charming, clean, safe and lovely Ravenna is, we’d have planned for a few more days there rather than Venice. The food was delicious and the wine 🍷

The old town where the many restaurants and shops reside is 5 or 10 minutes walk from the train station. The Maison 26 family owned hotel was outstanding. The old town is very walkable and beautiful. Cabs are scarce so book ahead if wanting transportation to cruise ship.

Ravenna was better than I expected.

Ravenna was better than I expected. We arrived by cruise ship and instead of rushing off to another city (Venice or Bologna) we chose to spend one night in Ravenna. Accomodations were near the train station and the historic churches and sites. Ravenna has beautiful mosaics in several locations and a well organized tour pass system that is easy to access.

Wonderful place! It was so very pretty and historic.

Wonderful place! It was so very pretty and historic. The city allows you to visit the museum of Alighieri Dante, one of the most important poet in Italy's culture. Also you can visit the Dante Alighieri's tomb. The city have a lot of bar to drink, seat and listen music, restaurants to eat the excellent and traditional italian food (for example piadina).

Ravenna is a beautiful place to visit.

Ravenna is a beautiful place to visit. It's easy to get around the town center and there are a lot of places to eat--across all price ranges. So many beautiful mosaics. It's worth taking a tour for these. We did a guided tour with Silvia Giogoli at guidaravenna.com and it was worth the cost. She is so knowledgable about the history of the city and the mosaics in particular. Really gives you a better appreciation of the art. If they block the guide's name and website, it was the guided walking tour offered via the booking site called Mosaic Tiles Guided Tour.

The hotel was very clean, there was a lot of choice at breakfast, staff very helpful and kind. price was ok if you compare location and service to other hotels . The best thing apart from this is the location. Right in the centre, can walk to all the sites easily, surrounded by restaurants, cafés and shops. Just a 10minute walk to the train station. And so in my mind makes it the best choice compared to other hotels I looked at on here and saw while staying in Ravenna. Would definitely stay here again.

This is more of an experience and certainly not your typical hotel, with only three guest rooms accessed via the gallery space of a not for profit organization supporting contemporary arts. We certainly enjoyed the serenity of the club room and the feeling of having the entire building to ourselves. It was one of the standout "hotels" of our five weeks travelling in Italy.

Roomy single with decent price. Decent location near the churches. Room was warm due to weather, but staff did not or would not change the temperature. As Ravenna is in a swampy area with a mosquito problem, without screens, that is a problem. Also minimal front desk staffing, which could require waits.
