This is a lovely hotel just on the other side of the river from the centre of Albarracín - in one way this means it has the best view! The staff are extremely helpful, immediately on arriving we had maps and recommendations for things to do and see during our stay. They also noticed that we had used one of the extra blankets the first night, so they made sure that the room was extra cosy the second night - very thoughtful.

L'esmorzar boníssim l'habitació molt maca i cómoda
Albarracín es el pueblo mas bonito en España.
Lovely place, but i guess just a tourisf village now. When we went it was during one of Spain's infamous 'micro puentes' meaning most the restaurant s and bars were shut.

Great room, the owners were lovely. Excellent parking. Clean tidy room, small mini bar at cost if needed.
No kettle provided, no access to hot water to make a hot drink though, but everything else was great.
We found an amazing restaurant up in the old town called La Taba - highly recommend!

Very beautiful town with so much to take in and see. Lots of lovely eateries and a great little bar in the Plaza Major. And easy access to the Embalse del Arquillo de San Blas, which is worth the drive out to for a swim - just glorious.

My favourite town of all of Spain - it’s beauty never ceases to amaze me (this was my second time here). We spent two nights here. One day was to see the town and the second to explore the surrounding area - we went to to a waterfall about 40 km away. I wish I could return here in the fall to do some hiking, August was way too hot for that.

Very well preserve medieval town.
Very well preserve medieval town. Not for the mobility impaired given the steep walk required to get to the old town. Beautiful and interesting architecture. Excellent bakery in the old town. At night the illumination really add to the already scenic and atmospheric town. Many photo opportunities of the beautiful architecture. I did not have time to go it,but probably it is not a bad idea to book a walking tour to better appreciate the centuries of history contained within the compact old town. There are some nice looking boutique hotels in the old town. You may have to park below in the newer section. I I cooked our meals so can’t comment on restaurants. The bakeries are worth visiting as is the cheese store on the Main Street. Their award winning cheeses are excellent. Finally there are parks , such as Pinares de Rodeno, near Albarracin where you can hike and enjoy nature. In conclusion I would return and spend more than the 2 nights I stayed this time.

We stayed here three nights which gave us time to do three hikes, a daytime historical tour, try three amazing restaurants and the El Molino del Gato bar. This is one of the least touristy medieval cities we visited. Go on the weekend so more places are open.
We paid a bit more than we normally would, for an extra large room, and it was worth it. Wonderful views of the town and surrounding hills from our large windows. Enormous four-poster bed. Good sized bathroom with hydro-massage shower. Helpful, friendly staff who let our dog join us in the bar in the evening where they prepared us a light meal, as all other bars and restaurants in Albarracin did not allow dogs and it was too cold to sit outside. The hotel has a convenient large open-air car-park just across the road.
Room is beautiful, amazing shower, the view is unbeatable. The 2 restaurants next to it also amazing, highly recommend both. Albarracín is a hidden gem, not many tourists from other countries, therefore I had difficulties communicating in English, even with the hotel, but google translator helped :) And at the end, not being able to use English became the fun part:) Highly recommend the hotel, but also Albarracín to stay not just 1 night, but min 2.
The host and hostess went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The host met us when we arrived in order to show us where to park and give us a ride to the hotel. (Parking was very close.) The hostess responded immediately when we discovered that we hadn’t asked for the WiFi password. And, she served breakfast at the early time we requested. The room was comfortable and pretty with a small balcony and stunning view.
I stayed in this hotel 9 years ago, and it is maintaining its standards. It's not in the old town, but an easy walk, and access for suitcases, parking (free on-site) etc more than compensates for being just across the river. Rooms are serviceable, if not particularly flash. It delivers for a 3 star at a perhaps slightly high price - but blame Albarracin for that I guess. The staff were particularly helpful.
The location was excellent. What views! Two things we had to get used to in small ancient villages : you canNOT drive right up to the hotel ; it can be difficult to find, so call . And : the breakfast is basically “ Continental ,” and any cheese, egg, meat is an unexpected bonus! Casa de Santiago had fresh squeezed OJ, plus a few slices of cheese and Iberian ham.
Position really excellent, in a historic building in the middle of old Albarracín (with some stunning views of the fortified town). From the hostel you can reach any turistic place just by walking. Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Though I booked for a shared 8 bunkbed room, I was the only guest, so the room was all for myself.
We have spent an amazing weekend in Albarracín. Rosa, the hotel's owner was very kind, providing us tips, information, etc trying to make our time there very nice. The room was very quiet, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast included a huge variety of dishes, cake, coffee, orange juice, etc
Casa de La Roca lives up to its name and immerses you in an historical experience you will treasure. It is located just below a bakery and in the middle of restaurants and the beauty of Albarracin. Highly recommend and I will be back.
Great little hotel. Charming rooms. I would stay again. Probably would not go to the breakfast place they offer as it’s just coffee and a packaged pastry but not bad either. Overall a nice place and great location.
Beautiful old hotel that is walking distance to Albarracin. The rooms are large, with very comfortable beds . Everything is very clean. The river runs right past the hotel . Good, filling breakfast.
albarracin is magic town and la casa del tío americano is a wonderful and charming “petite hotel”.
angelina & gato, the owners, are taking care of every single need you may have.
