Fun and Sun on the Costa Brava
A vibrant Costa Brava resort at the foot of mountains, Lloret de Mar boasts fabulous beaches and plenty to do for all ages. Carrer de Sant Pere leading inland from the beach has lots of international brand shops and exclusive jewellers. The town also has excellent nightlife, with a wealth of restaurants, bars and one of the Costa Brava’s biggest casinos.
For a spot of culture, the Verdaguer Centre houses relics from the Iberian settlement of Puig de Castellet dating to 250 BC.
Just north is Water World, one of Europe’s biggest waterparks, while offshore watersports include diving, snorkelling and sea kayaking. Lloret de Mar also offers karting and a few golf courses.
In the town centre are Booking.com’s selection of guest houses, apartments and hotels with pools, while high-rise Lloret de Mar hotels face the town’s 2 beaches – Fenals and Lloret. The latter has a long, tree-lined promenade ending at one of the craggy coves typical of this coastline. The walk up to the cliffs is worth it for the views over the town and Mediterranean Sea.
As Lloret de Mar is only around 30 minutes’ drive from Girona Airport, it’s not long before you can dip your toes in.

Lloret de Mar was a lovely place but as we stayed at the end of April the water park was not open , the weather wasn’t great for days on the beach either, even if the weather was good the sand on the beach was very gritty so it made it very painful to walk on. The small town surely has its own charm for certain groups...
The small town surely has its own charm for certain groups of people, but probably not for families with small children, the beach is not clean, the sand is too rough for kids to play with, and the waves are too strong for swimming, which are very disappointing for my toddler. We did enjoy the hiking path along the coastline though， which was unexpected in my trip planning.

Lloret seems to be quite a sleepy seaside town with not much going on except the beach, but that was fine as that was all we wanted. There were lots of pubs and nightclubs around but 99% seemed to be closed. Again, this was great for us as we dislike that kind of thing! If you want to go for a jog on the beach, or a coastal walk or simply sit on the balcony and be mesmerised by the constantly changing sea view, this place is for you. I had hoped that I would find more Catalan speakers, as I am learning this language. All the shops and signposts are in Catalan, but most people speak Castillian Spanish. Very busy shops. Streets are really dirty and smelly! Smell like urine and drains. We also got lost ALOT and ended up walking in dodgy back streets. No signage and constantly on Google maps. The hotel has a lovely view to the sea and you can see everything around.The food is amazing and you have plenty to choose from for breakfeast,lunch and dinner.The swimming pool and the view it is wonderfull and relaxing. Hotel Roger De Flor is by my opinion the best hotel to stay in Llore de Mar because we had one of the best hollydays ever

They are all overqualified for this hotel to be honest. They made my stay perect. The location is perfect if you have a car/bike. Not nearby the noise in the centre, so you can sleep good at night. The beds are good.

It is not in Lloret so I guess it is never crowded parking. Next to hotel is gasoline station and next to is Aldi ( 2min walk) . Great position for in transit or as a cheap stay whole in Lloret de mar. brand new place. You can arrive 24h, they have key code for entrance.
