One of the most beautiful old houses in Middelburg, tastefully converted into a hotel by the owners, retaining many period features in the rooms. Evertyhing superb, even a simple breakfast included (most Dutch hotels charge extra). You are a very short walk from the centre of town.

Middelburg was full of surprises at every corner. A tourist friendly easy walk around town. Beautiful architecture, cafes, and restaurants.
Nothing to fault in this town other than if you have a car parking difficult and expensive. Easy to access via trains.

Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone...
Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone streets, lovely churches, beautiful canals, and its own windmill. The shopping district is extensive, and there are restaurants of every kind with cozy outdoor seating. Dining outdoors on the main square is lovely!
Middelburg is a very walkable city. The train station is not far from old town, so if you book a place in old town you can usually walk there in less than ten minutes. We found affordable parking for our car in an underground garage by the Albert Heijn grocery store on Het Groene Woud. I can't think of any restaurants to avoid; every place we went was pretty great. Prices are a little higher on the main square.
I would recommend renting a bike and riding around the city, especially going out into the green countryside to see the cozy houses, sheep, cows, and goats. In the summer, there are flowers in abundance. The ocean is also just a few kilometers away and is a nice place for a sunset walk.

Beautiful houses with elegant doors.
Beautiful houses with elegant doors. Walking around town is great. A visit to the local museum of Zeewyse is also worthwhile and interesting. True, the fashion exhibition is closed. Nice, great restaurants and cafes. We had dined at the restaurant Basalt and were very pleased with the excellent food and service. A very nice central square. It was very interesting to get to the flea market, which happens quite often here.

Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands.
Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands. Very historic and beautiful star Fort city, the central plaza at the stadhuis is huge and filled with bars and restaurants. Small enough town to walk around easily, and the expected standard of cycle paths and signs, makes it a great place to stop when cycling Zeeland
We liked the location of the hotel surrounded by nature, not far from the historical center, just 5 minutes to walk, the spacious room with an exit through the French window to the terrace and to the garden with a swing on a tree, coffee, tea bar and caramels in the room replenished every day, very good breakfast with delicious cheeses, nice historical decorations in the hotel and very kind and helpful hotel staff.
Central located, beautiful house renovated with passion, room to the front offers a great view on Middelburg. The room was big and furnitured with a mixture from historical and modern style. Thanks to very friendly Petra and Stephen who gave us much useful information where to go out in Middelburg and Walcheren, we spent an awesome time.
If going there the bike is the best way to get along on the island.
What a special place! First of all, location location location! Right in the city center with beautiful views of the town hall of Middelburg. We also had dinner at their brassiere and it was all fantastic, the food, the wine and the staff. This hotel understands the details of perfection. We had such a wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon.
The owner was exceptionally friendly and served really good breakfast. It is an old well maintained building, with very little traffic, due to it's location on the canal (therefore it was really quiet). And the owner did everything to make our stay comfortable.
Additionally it is located very close to the center of the lovely town Middelburg.
Hotel Bruno's such a modern, quirky little place: a boutique hotel but less chichi than most places that go under that name, and in a lovely older building. I stayed up on the top floor and my room was absolutely perfect - huge comfortable bed, Italian style shower, a comfortable chair for reading, good light
Great location, comfy bed, and the hospitality! The owner went above and beyond to make sure I get all that i needed during my stay. Plus point for me is that the hotel has a great fan, perfect for hot summer night. Totally recommend if you ever visit Middelburg!
Staff, food, location and service is great. The closely linked St. John's café is legendary in Middelburg. There is nothing pretentious, nothing posh, nothing fake: It's a living room for everybody. The Yoghurt Ice-cream is not to be missed, take the large one.
We loved our cute apartment in Eclectic Hotel Copper. It was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable so we slept like angels. I love also love self check in and self checkout system. Very central location. We will be back.
Stayed there for the 2nd time, and for sure, it will be another one. The hotel is perfect in a great location with a nice view and walkable distance from the town center. Great rooms with all comforts needed to make you feel like home!
Beautiful, modern hotel with excellent breakfast and dinner options.
Spacious and comfortable rooms and a superb wellness and swimming pool area.
Not too far from Middelburg and a short drive away from Domburg and the coast.

The city centre is right around the corner. Super friendly hosts. Comfortable clean and spacious appartment. Recommended! We also really enjoyed Middelburg, enough things to visit, and to have some nice food and drinks.
Lovely new hotel, parking nearby and suitable for a suv. Room was big and clean and breakfast was perfect, staff were very friendly.Hotel is close to city centre. We would stay here again for sure

Situated in the center of Middelburg. Pool table. Nice staff.
Beautiful hotel. Excellently designed modernisation of the very old building. The room was delightfully equipped with excellent lighting. Delicious breakfast.
