I liked the staff behaviour a lot. My mom brought me food, and I really needed good refrigerators to store it. The room one was not working properly but when I asked the staff for help, they let me store it in their kitchen refrigerator which I really appreciated. The neighbourhood was also beautiful to walk around in the morning.

Clean, cozy, quiet and full of love. Small property allows for personalized attention, delicious meals, superb service. Excellent location in the heart of Alphen and close to the train station/ bus station. Very steep stairs so be prepared to drag your luggage but remember it’s an adventure! Was in no way a deterrent to me. Thanks for an amazing job, team!

Super friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. You can find a gym, spa and an indoor pool there. The shuttle service is for free during certain hours.
The spacious room was also a big plus.
Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden is located next to highway A44, which leads to Leiden, The Hague, Amsterdam and Noordwijk. Train station Sassenheim is a 10 minute walk to the hotel.

Great location, easy to access and get to other locations. Eventhough it was on the highway, you didn't hear the traffic.
