The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
As we arrived early, the hotel was accomodating for leaving our luggage until the room were open. The location was great. Paid parking was closeby and was easy to navigate. The staff was able to help us with providing directions. They were very clear on how to enter the hotel with reception was closed which helped us greatly. While we were on separate floors, this was not a problem at all. There was a great Tapas restaurant across the street. The spas were reasonably close for walking.
Everything, the location allows you to take in the hustle and bustle of Baden-Baden and then relax in the serenity of your apartment. Great views and modern decor in this unit makes it an absolute jem in this already beautiful part of Germany. Our hostess Ellen took care of everything and treated us like an extended part of her family.
Great value for the money. We use vacation rentals whenever we vacation Canada and we're not used to this type of hospitality. Thanks again so much Ellen!!
A large chain hotel close to the center of Baden Baden . Reception was very quick and helpfull , the rooms though a little small were clean and tidy and good for the price . For dinner we ate out , however breakfast was very good with a wide selction available . Underground parking is available but the car park is a little small for the size of the hotel , we squeezed our motorbikes in by the barriers for no charge , so all good for us .
Lovely apartment nestled in a calm neighborhood just above the center of Baden-Baden. The apartment is complete, spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. Parking is easy and close to the apartment; wifi is reliable. The location is close enough to the city center to reach by foot but it's far enough away to be isolated from the noise and traffic. Contactless check-in and departure is also easy. Would definitely stay here again.
The modern architecture was pleasing. The room was spacious and the king size bed was a bonus; the niceties in the room like the dimmer switches and switches by the bed that didn’t require you to get out of bed to turn the lights off. We really enjoyed the spa facilities and the hotel services. For example, we discovered by reading the in room guide that we could request a picnic lunch for a hike we planned to do.
I was at the hotel with five friends on a motorcycle holiday. The hotel is operated by two brothers Otto and Thomas. They were very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was a problem. They provided secure parking for the motorcycles at the rear of the hotel.
The location of the hotel is central within Baden Baden which is a lovely place with plenty of different bars and restaurants.
The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The gym and the swimming pool area were very nice. The sauna was not on during our stay.
The breakfast was great both quality and selection-wise.
In good weather, walking from the hotel to the town center and back was a nice experience and let us enjoy fresh air.
In a fantastic location in the centre of Baden Baden just around the corner from the Caracalla spa, the Hotel am Markt is a great stopover for visits to the city. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the breakfast. The view from our bedroom was amazing.
Fantastic location in centre of Baden-Baden. It's a small but cosy hotel and the room was comfortable. Good, modern bathroom and excellent shower. Very good breakfast. Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Baden-Baden. A minute away from the main pedestrian zone. We were with car, so garage on site was a perfect option for us. It's 18 €, but it worth. Very clean rooms with everything you need. Helpful staff, rich breakfast.
Picturesque and quaint area, just outside Baden-Baden. Walking trails and vineyards around. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Beautifully finished bathroom. Good breakfast in a spacious breakfast room.
Location was perfect and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was delicious and staff was very friendly. Only stayed two nights, but would stay there again if we returned to Baden-Baden.
Everything was absolutely amazing, hotel rooms spacious and super clean, best breakfast we ever had traveling through Europe for the past 10 yrs, very nice staff, definitely will be back
Hotel location is excellent. The room has plenty of space, more than we need for our "bed and breakfast" purpose. All clean and comfortable. Staff was very gentile and helpful.
Hotel is good overall, rooms, pool and gym were all pretty good.
Location was good, just off the main road and easy to walk to all locations in Baden Baden
The hotel is located near Casino, shops, and restaurants. The spa facilities are wonderful. the bed is comfortable and the room was quiet with a nice view.
