It is a nice place for surfing and partying.
However it is in most aspects very expensive (there are many similar places around that are cheaper).
Even the city itself charges for everything (parking, tourist tax), I would not have been surprised to have to pay to use the loo. In general I had the feeling there is a gold rush attitude but the service provided in return is insufficient. (Bad value for money).
However this is not true for all places, there were some pretty nice restaurants.
Probably not the best place for relaxed beach vacation.

The best was the climate, the water, it was so safe to walk around, a real relaxed beach town where everyone was having a good time. Great that it’s a non vehicle town, lack of traffic a big bonus. The longer we stayed the more relaxed we were. We loved it.

It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return.
It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return. The atmosphere is very low key, lots of food options, little shops to visit and the beach is glorious.
You can choose to just relax at the beach or take one of the many tours available.
Only issue is the lack of banks/ATMs, so you need to bring cash if you prefer to pay this way but many of the restaurants/vendors take credit cards. If you are traveling from outside Brazil, you will not be able to use your debit card even though it has a visa/Mastercard logo.

We love Jeri !!! Specially my daughters,9 and 10 years old . We did buggy activities both side (oeste and leste ) I recommend do the OESTE first since is more fun !! The LESTE side is more relax , swimming and visiting the beach clubs and holes !!
The village is very safe and the people is very nice !!
Bonus tip : take only light weight clothes , like beach wear and only sandals like HAVAIANAS !! Don’t forget sunblock and hats with strings ! Also there is no mosquitos in Jeri !!

The town if very charming and cozy.
The town if very charming and cozy. Plenty of good restaurants, bars, shops, small markets. Some restaurants can be a bit expensive, averaging the price of big cities like São Paulo.
Great offers of activities and short trips to surrounding areas.

Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own...
Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own success. Basically, it suffers from mass-tourism. Natives basically moved out and left their village to whoever wanted to make money from European and wealthy Brazilian tourists. One pousada next to the other, intertwined with restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Its narrow sandy streets are cloaked with buggies, pick-ups and quads. In the evening, it is a cacophony of loud music, be it live or blasting from speakers in the many bars and restaurants which attract a noisy crowd until very late. The National Park experience is very disappointing, because everyday there are about a thousand buggies, pick-ups and quads running up and down the sand dunes, many blasting loud music. The tours are planned around private "attractions" with entrance fees and expensive service.
I am so impressed with quality level of the Hotel Boutique Villa Nautica! The owners created a total relaxing space for their guests! They thought about every single detail to make your stay memorable! The room is gorgeous and full of amenities! Breakfast is fabulous and delicious!! The staff are the most kind and helpful people that I had encountered on my trips! Your stay is definitely a one to remember for years to come!!!
Thank you Villa Nautica for taking care of my family and I !!!

I liked everything in the pousada. The service was exceptional, including breakfasts, cleaning, swimming pool. The owner of the pousada is hospitable and just amazing person. If you have any question about Jeri or any activities, just ask!
The location is exceptional, because it's very close to the city center and beach and at the same time it's very quiet
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is going to visit amazing town Jericoacoara!
The hotel is very pretty, charming and classy. I loved the common areas and the room. The swimming pool has an amazing temperature and it is always clean. The staff speaks English, which is great. They also have the menu in English for breakfast, which is a la carte. I loved that they have a hanger on the 1st floor balcony, where you can dry your beachwear items. From 3pm to 6pm they offer complimentary tea, coffee and cake. Too bad they were never vegan.
This is a nice boutique hotel in Jericoacoara with comfortable rooms and a pool that's open 24 hours. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is super helpful and nice. The concierge, Nayara, is super nice and really went out of her way to ensure I had a good stay. She helped organize tours and also allowed me to return in the afternoon to take a shower before taking a transfer to my next destination. I'd highly recommend this place!
Everything was perfect! The hotel is very stylish and comfortable. Room is spacious enough for 2 people and has all the basic supplies. A/c works perfectly, shower with hot water, room cleaning and fresh towels every day.
The breakfast was simple but delicious and with good choice of fruits and cakes.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. All in all this place is amazing and I would be very happy to stay there again.
The property is in a great location 8 to 10 min walk to the principal road. The breakfast is served in/by the room, which is cozy and very private. There’s a table and chairs just outside each room so you can enjoy the breakfast with your crowd while close to nature. The hotel is also super green, with lots of trees, plants and bird flying around. Finally, The staff is super attentive and nice.
Great location in the center of the town, staff are super nice and the bartendar at the pool bar was also super helpful answering questions and most importantly they make amazing cocktails. Pool is maintained clean, staff constantly picking up leaves over the pool. Check out the rooftop bar on the wkends, awesome view with sunset along with DJing~!
Nice location. The beach and city center can be reach by foot (10-15 min walk). The location of the hotel is a little bit outside of the most touristic part and thus very calm, really good to sleep. The breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. All the friendly cats in the property were also a nice plus!
Very charming, kind of rustic chic, Boutique Hotel in front of the beach.
Very nice staff, outstanding location; calm oasis in the (nowadays) busy village of Jericoacara.
Great quality and calm; perfect place to rest body and soul.
If you want loud music and animation, please look somewhere else
Villa Kalango is a great accommodation. We would definitely go back. Jericoacoara is a very nice small village with a holiday vibe. The villa is exactly adjacent to the beach. Food is fantastic. Great breakfast , great lunch and nice drinks. Fantastic houses which feels like vacation 10.0
I have been in a lot of hotels during my stay in jeri. (Wanted to see different things) The pool is fantastic and the rooftops are one of the bests in Jeri. My room was great and the host was a super nice and hospitable guy. Would definitely recommend to stay.
Great place to stay. Just have to keep in mind that it is at the beginning of Jericoacoara, so it is a long walk to the beach. We knew that so it wasn’t a problem for us. The apartment is very nice, and clean - a lovely place to relax.
Very interesting, typical, comfortable accommodation for a group of people. Good, quiet location close to all commodities and center of Jericoacoara.
Very nice host, willing to help always and available.
I liked how close the hotel is to the beach, the staff is organized and friendly. The swimming pools are nice as well, great for pictures. The bed is very comfortable as well.
Very cosy vibes in the hotel, loved the pool and the breakfast! The staff is super welcoming and caring. Everything went perfectly well, thank you very much!
the concept is great. A dormitory in a small private house. We were a big group and we had a great time in Jericoacoara. We recommend 100% this accommodation
