Key reason is that Michael, the owner, will go out of his way to help you get to where you need to go. He helps with buying the tickets for fast/slow ferry or plane and shuttles you there to make sure you catch it. Also, and very importantly, in case of weather complications (which I had) he'll help you figure out the best alternative mode of transport, so that you're not stuck longer than you have to. Good quality food with some German specialties on the menu, as well as an overall attention to detail throughout the property, which you don't find that often in this part of the world.
