Located at Charlotte Amalie district, the Midtown Guest House is a property that provides its guests with comfortable accommodations with free Wi-Fi access throughout. I love the architecture of this building. At though extremely dated it was well kept. It was great and the fact that it was two blocks from the harbor. And only one block away from Main Street shopping. Surrounded by a lot of great restaurants.
Charlotte Amalie (0.7 miles from Charlotte Amalie Harbor Seaplane Base)
On historic Government Hill in the Charlotte Amalie district of Saint Thomas, this bed and breakfast features a freshwater pool with deck. Absolutely everything! Harry the owner and his wife are incredibly helpful and so friendly, we had great chats and they were very accommodating for all my needs. The whole place is very clean, amazing beautiful clean pool (like insanely clean!!!) and fantastic view from the patio! I booked an economy room with AC which was perfectly sized for me (but option to upgrade to one with a balcony too) I was happy with a shared bathroom as it was cleaner than other places where you have a private one! Honestly I never had to wait to use it and was very impressed at the high standards of cleaning. Plus little sweet touches of soap bars etc in case you forgot yours. The free breakfast was a great addition, good coffee and some vegan options which was appreciated! The location is perfect, situated just a 2 minute walk uphill from the main street and right next to the 99 steps! Honestly you should choose this place, I'll definitely be coming back and when you go say hi to Cornelius the philosophic gardener, he's a gem of a human! ☺️

Located in Charlotte Amalie, a 18-minute walk from Charlotte Amalie Harbor, The Green Iguana Hotel provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and barbecue... The hotel exceeded my expectations both in terms of the quality of accommodation and all the services it offers. The hotel is adequately equipped and with its surroundings offers an ideal place for rest and relaxation. The added value of the hotel is also represented by the owners, who help and advice guests with information and advice that goes beyond normal hotel services. I recommend the hotel to everyone who wants a pleasant stay in a beautiful environment with high quality hotel services.
The view great. The hot tub was hot. The house is well used, could use a little freshening up, but it really was a great place to spend the night. Isolated from restaurants so come prepared to call a taxi or bring your own food up the mountain. So quiet and peaceful. Will rent again!
Great staff, friendly and helpful especially Carla Potential guests should be aware that the property is on a hillside, no elevator so getting to room could be a challenge. Still, great property, very nice pool.
Less than one mile from the airport this resort is has a great beach and pool, outdoor bar and restaurant. All rooms have balconies. The property is older but mostly renovated. We visited other resorts and public beaches and this property was the best.
I liked the parking and the room the best but i feel the communication with the front desk should be better. I think the front desk agent should advise of restaurant schedule and time of operation because not all guest has time to sit and read a book of information some of us just come to have fun.
The most beautiful small apartment perfect for 2 or 4. Every evening we made it home to sit on the deck with a drink and watch the sunset. The morning view is of a turquoise ocean outside your windows. Couldn't have been better. The island is very easy to get around. We went to Secret Harbour Beach, Coki Beach, and to Magens Bay Beach Park. They were all great. Coki will have a mixture of tourist and local people but it was fun.
My opinion is you should not travel to the Virgin Islands until they relax the rules on covid. At night, most of the bars, clubs, and restaurants are closed and the ones that are open, they close early. Basically I was walking around looking for something to do. If you're there to just go to the beach, that's fine but the nightlife there is a ghost town now during covid. Also you do not want to go shopping either. They are so desperate to get sales that everybody bombards you with trying to sell you something. Also a tip about buying alcohol, buy the alcohol at Kmart. That's the cheapest place to buy alcohol. Also if this is your first visit to St Thomas, be prepared because the customer service is not the greatest. A lot of the sellers are not very nice and I'm being kind. I'm not saying everyone but a lot have bad attitudes. I'm part St Thomian and I tell you this from experience.
