Nice garden, comfortable living room and big sleeping room. It’s exactly our dream house in Japan. We highly recommend you to stay there. The couple are very nice and helpful, they gave us useful recommendations. We sure we will be back!

The hostess (who's also the owner) was a very nice and friendly person. Breakfast was complimentary and the hostess even made breakfast by herself to guests every morning and it was delicious! The room is equipped with tatami floor and was super clean. There was no bed but instead futon was provided and you need to set it up by yourself at night which was interesting. It was a special experience to get a chance to sleep in a Japanese futon. If you don't know how to set it up they will help you too. The bathroom is big and equipments were new. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's also close to a bus stop which takes you to surrounding sightseeing places. There are convenient store and supermarket within walking distance and you can buy fireworks there to play at the beach at night. If we come back to Shirahama in the future we will choose to stay here again.

Sandanya is a lovely and unique guest house.Impeccably clean,with spacious Japanese style rooms and beautiful ground floor area with amazing collections of Japanese dolls,glasses,shells and so much more..There is a pc corner, too. Regarding travel necessities,whatever you think of-the owner already has it covered.Hygiene sets,maps,bus passes,plenty of fridge/freezer space,nice,fragrant towels..can’t praise this place enough.For western travellers,don’t be put off by shared toilets and bathrooms:all in pristine conditions,even with bath mats changed after every use. The owner speaks English and is very helpful and friendly.Location wise,it’s a literally min away from Sandanbeki cliffs and if you want to go down the hill to some onsen or to Shirahama beach,the bus stop is just next to the house.Walking to Shirahama beach is easy, only takes 20 min,with 2 foot baths along the way. I stayed 4 nights there and loved everything about this guesthouse.

The hosts were a very warm and helpful couple. The breakfast was beyond terrific. The room was clean as was the shower and bathroom. The hosts were very helpful setting up taxis, recommending a restaurant, and arranging attendance in a yoga session at the Buddish temple Nextdoor. Is someone doesn't require their own private toilet or shower, I would recommend this B&B. By the way, the food was very healthy.

house is sparkling clean. the layout is very interesting and my kids enjoyed it a lot. The beds and fabrics are so comfortable. most importantly it came with a splendid ocean view. I captured the most beautiful sunset by sitting in the living room.
