My Word, The Location!! With a drinking quality river gushing its way around the backyard, lush green mountains all around and with nothing much else around to interfere with pure and perfect nature, you wonder how much more beautiful heaven might be!! The host is a quiet and efficient man with a very fine and subtle sense of humour!! The fact he is an outstandingly good cook comes as a very welcome surprise!! Some portions of the buildings are genuinely historic, but it is the beauty and closeness to nature that supersedes everything else!! Very comfortable beds, and the symphony played by the river!! Almost magical!!

Highly recommended to stay at Perlen på solheim/Hyen. You will get fully equipped very clean house for maximum 6 persons that is located in wonderful place close to the lake! I'd say that it was our best experience in Norway during our 2 weeks vacation. Host was very kind and instructions were clear. It is not mentioned in profile but you will also get wi-fi, even Netflix if the weather is not good outside - we made a bbq and watched the movie once the weather changed :-)

Connection of old, traditional building with modern design gives the perfect match. Very clean and well equiped. Closeby to fjord, park, supermarkets and nice cafe. Parking places avaiable on the back pf the house.

A superb place to discover Norway, with all facilities in the house, a free access to the canoë below to enjoy the beautiful Hornindal lake and a nice barbecue patio. This house has a lot of charm, without direct neighborhood and is very peaceful. And the host is very sympathic. The perfect place to enjoy the beautiful nature of Norway all around (mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls)
