The Breakfast was excellent I can not eat wheat and they made me a breakfast to fit in with me that was very fort full of them . Case Joya is a lovely property in a lovely place decorated to a very high standard the staff are all very friendly after a long hot day riding my motor bike this was a great place to stop over night I will be going back again thank you .

The modern bungalow, two bedrooms, is very comfortable and well equipped. Beach front, nice view (the pics are so true) and clean pool. Beds were great, good shower. Kitchen has all you need. In the surroundings you can make nice hikes. Very calm and relaxing environment. Small supermarket and coffee corner at two hundred meters.

We have been just one night but it was really great. The place and the surrounding were amazing. So beautiful. Vasco was so nice and gave us great information. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Really magical place.

Herman and Luc are absolutely fantastic hosts and are so accommodating and friendly. We really felt at home and everything was terrific…from the homemade breakfast to the heated pool to the immaculate rooms. The Location is gorgeous and there are some amazing local restaurants. The guide to the area that they have personalized is very special and unique! They have put in a lot of work to the property and the experience and it really shows. The bed is also the comfiest we have come across throughout Portugal. We only stayed 2 nights, but if you can stay longer, there is so much to see and experience, but you can also just power down and relax as well. Thank you casa carvalhal!

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying in Encontro no Rio. From the moment we arrived, the owners, David, Daniela and the kids welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like part of their family. Their warmth and kindness truly made the experience special. The farmhouse was a gem! The stunning view of the river took our breath away every single day. The pool was an excellent addition, and we spent many enjoyable hours relaxing and splashing around in the water. The animals on the property were an absolute delight. It was heartwarming to see how well they were cared for and how friendly they were with all the guests. The highlight of our stay was definitely the horseback ride with "Cavalos no Rio Mondego." Exploring the beautiful surroundings on horseback was an unforgettable experience. The horses were well-trained, and the guides were knowledgeable, ensuring we had a safe and thrilling ride. Set in Cernache do Bonjardim, Canto Zêzere, Barragem de Castelo do Bode offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful house. Great kitchen. Comfortable beds and big bathrooms. Very up to date bathrooms and on every floor. The yard is beautiful. Right on the water. Fruit trees and ample parking. Hosts are very kind and very nice. The BBQ is wood fired. They supply wood, and you can also pick driftwood from the beach. Quiet setting. We just love this place and we will definitely be back.
