Great and a comfy stay! Will definitely be coming back! Location: the location is quite convenient. It’s right next to the main road going to Paje and 5-10 minutes walk away to the ocean. The building is in Jambiani village which is famous for its sweet, hospitable locals, and great beaches! Supermarkets and shops are all nearby. Check in: Thomas the owner who oversees things personally, was kind enough to arrange for an early check in despite the short notice. He’s easygoing and friendly to deal with. Easy and straightforward process. They accept cards without giving you the looks (many properties in Jambiani don’t happily accept cards). You can use Apple Pay or Samsung Pay. The place itself: this is a brand new building with great finishing. The owner takes pride in his trees and the villa is surrounded by greenery inside it. There’s a pool, kitchen with a big new fridge for guests to store food, shower facilities next to the pool. There’s also a terrace upstairs with huge area for people who wanna have some privacy or do calls or just relax. It offers a nice 360 view of the village on all sides. The rooms: the rooms are quite modern and they are practically designed and equipped with everything you want. The ac was working perfectly and it was a relief in hot afternoons and nights (many properties don’t have ac or it doesn’t work). Really comfy beds (probably the best bed and mattresses I slept on in Zanzibar), a safe which is quite handy, a little desk if you have work, big washroom with great water pressure, everything in the room was brand new and working fine. The internet: I had couple of meetings and was suffering from the poor internet in other proper I. The wifi really saved me. The experience: the owner who was also staying at the property is warm and makes sure to check in on you and see if you need anything (the stay itself, directions, restaurant recommendations, etc.

This place exceeded our expectations. Because they have only 3 rooms, this place is really calm and one can relax. We chose this lodge because of the kitchen and it was the best decision ever. It has everything needed to cook and we could prepare our meals during our stay. It felt like our home. We were also lucky as we were alone when we arrived and we were upgraded to the bigger room. It is absolutely luxurious. The lodge itself is beautiful and really good decorated. Moses, Osman and the rest of staff were really nice and helpful at all times. The breakfast is excepcional. Osman prepares the best omelette with veggies and crepes with chocolate. We loved our fruit salad as well. We were looking forward to this every morning! The lodge is located in the village, a couple of meters from the beach, and you can meet all locals here, they are all really welcoming. We would love to come back and we recommend this lodge to anyone that wants a private place in one of the most beautiful places in Zanzibar.

Very friendly and helpful staff, they make you feel at home! Breakfast is the best, especially the fresh ginger juice. The beds are very big and comfortable. The Lodge is in a good location, a short walk to the shops and the beach. I would come again.

The lodge is beautifully located at the southern end of Jambiani beach. The water is turquoise and the whole scenery breathtaking. Especially at low tide, you enjoy a huge area with shallow water and lagoons - ideal also for kiting (if you have your own equipment). Otherwise, you will find some schools and equipment to rent further down the beach. The lodge is run by Kerstin and her Zanzibarian husband. Kerstin is very warm hearted and takes extremely good care to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And also the staff is very attentive and nice. We really enjoyed our stay at Red Monkey!

Very nice house, location is great, clean, friendly staff. The lodge/house has 3 bedrooms, we stayed in one with 2 beds and a private bathroom, showers are great. All new equipment. Shared kitchen, living room and swimming pool area. Great breakfast and host.

Loved it all. Room was spacious, clean and stylish. Location beside the beach was excellent. Sun loungers beside the pool and along the beach. Breakfast has nice selection. Good WiFi. Highly recommend!

Nice breakfast, stable and fast internet, clean rooms, lovely hosts, save neighbourhood, decent water pressure. All one can ask for. Would definitely come back!
