Reserva Natural Tucuchira is situated in Santa Sofía, 31 km from Leticia. Tabatinga is 34 km from the property. The property offer hammock-style accommodation, shared bathroom facilities are included. Really an extraordinary experience. In the middle of the rain forest 30 to 40 mins away from Santa Sofía by foot The stuff is very friendly. The food is very good. You can do a lot of different activities. But be aware that the guides only speak spanish. My best experience in Colombia so far. Ten out of ten :)

Located in Leticia, Reserva Natural Natura Park features a garden and sun terrace. Bed linen is offered. Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. The property also offers packed lunches. It was exactly what I was looking for: isolated in the middle of the jungle. The landscaping and environment in general is perfect.

Tucked away in the Amazon forest, Omshanty offers bungalows and rooms with shared bathrooms 11 km from the centre of Leticia. The staff were very helpful and the spanish omlet I had for dinner was the best I've ever eaten! Having a full cabin to myself a bit apart from the others with only the sound of the jungle was magic.

Hotel Amazon is located in the heart of Leticia, a few minutes from Amazon River on the border between Colombia, Peru and Brazil. It offers a hot tub, massage services and spacious bungalows. The room was very big, clean and it had insect mesh in every opening (apart from the door, obviously). The staff as extremely helpfull, they provided us with local intel on restaurants and tours. They explained as well how was living in Leticia (peaceful, quiet and easy going). They even provided us with a room to stay after checking out to relax and get a shower in between tours, as we were staying a night out in the jungle. Breakfast was really tasty (juice, fruits, coffee and scrambled eggs with local pepper) and they provided us with fresh drinking water. It was a incredible stay furthermore when compared with neasrby alternatives.
