Really loved this old school motel, comfortable beds and ideal hosts. In the morning surprised with a kid’s playground (see pic). One can park directly in front of the entrance of the apt.

Quail Rest is located on Totara Peak Station which is a working High Country Station situated on the shores of Lake Benmore 22kms from Twizel township. Free WiFi and private parking is included. Extremely convenient and accommodating check in process for a late evening arrival. Wonderful accommodation that exceeded my expectations. I just needed a quiet place to rest before my next morning adventure but on an upcoming couples getaway I am planning this will be top of the list!

Generous, complementary and unexpected breakfast.And cookies! Fresh fruit and vegetables (from garden). Complementary laundary. We didnt want to leave.

Exactly as described and more. Small touches like the owner showing us around the cabin, the platter and fresh eggs from the farm, Towels for the hot springs. Plenty of wood. The most comfortable bed with plenty of blankets to keep you warm.

Just a 2-minute walk from beautiful Lake Tekapo, Lexi's Lodge features mountain views and a private garden with outdoor furniture. Hosts were amazing and so lovely to deal with! We loved every bit of our stay! We ended being snowed in and they gratefully let us stay while the road got unblocked… our stay was magical and we would definitely love to come back! So warm and cosy Highly recommend
