Room on ground level and accepted dogs - so great for us.
Value could have been better but we did travel in peak season.
Room was clean and modern.
Location was great and central to everything we needed for a short stop over.
Bowling club discount was a great bonus!
Lady let us check in an hour early, which was great given the wet weather.

Liked the quirkiness of the room and the cleanliness of the room. The room had been renovated and the air conditioning was great. The bed and linen were comfortable and check in was made really easy for after hours stays. There was a separate laundry area and kitchen/lounge area with commercial fridge for storing food items and cooking for those staying longer periods.

I cannot believe how lucky I am to be have discovered this place. It is a little haven right next to the beach, the perfect balance of luxury and nature.
I arrived here after a long road trip and Justine the night manager was super helpful making sure my late check-in was smooth and efficient.
I loved it so much I wanted to book an extra night but unfortunately it was fully booked. I can't wait to go back there again and spend some more time when they have a vacancy

Alstonville is a very pretty country town with friendly people and a great atmosphere. Some nice shops and a couple of good coffee places which serve a good breakfast, We prefer to stay here rather than Lismore which is only about twenty minutes away. Dinner at the Plateau Bowls Club is very good.

Alstonville is a beautiful town and very well maintained.
Alstonville is a beautiful town and very well maintained. Plenty of services offered and places to eat for such a small place. Great coffee and bakery. The town pool was immaculate with a heated 25m and heated outdoor 50m pool - early morning swim was a highlight. Great spot to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas. This is a beautiful part of the world and well worth a visit.

An extremely friendly ,pretty village with a great pub and fish shop . There is also a dentist, medical centre and a Coles food store along with the usual speciality shops.
It is close to Ballina with its lovely river and beaches.
I would suggest you definitely need a car to enjoy the drives in the area which are well worth doing.
Beautiful, tranquil surrounds and gorgeous views. My 10 year old daughter and I were in the garden cottage but the view was still lovely and we loved being able to pick pecan nuts and mandarins from the tree, and spend time with the donkeys and goats that live right outside the cottage. A very quiet, serene piece of nature. The cottage was clean and well-provisioned and we slept very comfortably. The hosts are friendly and we would highly recommend Alstonville Country Cottages to anyone visiting the Ballina/Lismore region.
Donelle and Rik made us feel so welcome and the property was absolutely beautiful with breath taking views. There was a great choice for breakfast and it was a very generous servings. We went there to relax and that is exactly what we got. 71 Dillons Lane was in a great location, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere but you were only 5 minute drive from Alstonville town centre. Highly recommend staying at 71 Dillons Lane and look forward to returning.
The room was very quiet and comfortable for a great night sleep. The room was exceptionally clean and everything was well maintained. The property itself is beautiful. The town Alstonville was a pleasant surprise, with nice cafes and restaurants and generally very pleasant. We will come back to this motel on future stop overs from Sydney to Brisbane.
We loved our stay at alstonville country cottages. The view , the cabin , the facilities , all exceeded our expectations. We arrived half hour early , but were allowed into the cabin. The donkeys and goats were fun for the kids and the walk to the duckpond was beautiful , besides a few muddy spots from the rain.
Why had car issues and the staff at Alstonville settlers were fantastic!
Shifted us into rooms in between their heavily packed schedule over a busy week end. Offered a lift into town for groceries.
Offered a local mechanics details. Made sure our stay was comfortable with extra linen and towels.
We had a wedding at Summerland so the hotel was a perfect location. The hotel was very accommodating in allowing us to check in early and check out a little later. We shared a family room with my parents who babysit our baby while we attended the wedding
A real surprise! Very comfortable cabins well equipped for self catering. Set in a great tropical garden with rain forest walks. From our deck we could see the sea. Close to the great village if Alstonville. Would return here.
Alstonville is a lovely township and a great option for staying in Ballina. The town has all the facilities you need and is an easy 5min drive to the highway.
Settlers motel is a great find for a relaxing stay.
The hotel, including our room, was really clean and well looked after. Staff were welcoming. We were on a road trip and had stayed in a few places up the east coast - this was by far the best
It was a little way out of Alstonville and in an idyllic setting. The cleanliness and comfort was top class. 6 acres of land and beyond to view at our leisure.
