The location was terrific, loved the view from the porch, and watching the birds at sunset. It was easy to stroll around town, and chatting with staff was enjoyable.

the studio was so spacious and inviting. It had everything you needed for a great stay. The bathroom was enormous and the private outside area was great to sit and read or have a meal. We loved our short stay and would return

What wasn't there to like? Jody was the most kind and generous host. We felt at home and she was always super helpful with any questions we had. The property itself is set on the most beautiful land - lush and green and right by the river. The house itself had many parts we could enjoy as a family and also the kids absolutely loved it.
The deck was perfect for our morning Yoga and for our BBQ catch ups. Loved the chicken coop that the kids could feed scraps to, and also the gardens were so expansive - perfect for family soccer, easter egg hunts and hide and seek! Jodie had some fantastic recommendations of nearby places to visit and we also organised an amazing at-home masseuse for the ladies (which I highly recommend). The beauty of the stay is that Jodie and her partner run an amazing Canoe business from the side of the property so the entire family could also organise our own canoe adventure from our place. It was magical. I would highly, highly recommend the Bellingen Converted Cottage to anyone considering staying in Bellingen!

The location it right off the main strip yet in a location where it's whisper quiet. The view from the back deck was incredible. It's a very homely and comfortable space

We booked the night in Bellingen, so we could visit the nearby waterfalls. The village has a few really cute looking restaurants, but all were fully booked on a Wednesday evening, so plan ahead for dinner.

A fantastic Guest House with an amazing lady looking after you.
Our stay was too short, would love to have stayed longer so that we could it enjoy it even more.
So many local restaurants, there are two local hotels/bars, both very good with good menus for lunch or dinner. Everything in walking distance from the Guest House.

Bellingen is a wonderful historic display case of NSW country town architecture.
It also has an amazing range of shops and things that other towns have bits of - Bellingen's got the lot.
Shop people and shoppers not actually discourteous but not friendly. Still, it was a Monday morning.
Overall, a delightful place that could be made more delightful by getting rid of that mainroad traffic through the town. It detracts from the ambience.

Very interesting, interesting quaint shops , surrounded by amazing nature. The drive to The Promised Land was worth it, as was the waterfalls scenery up to Dorrigo. There’s an old department store in town that’s not to be missed.
This was the perfect space to unwind and just take in the beauty of this accommodation’s surroundings. It is literally teeming with nature. We loved getting visits from the local Kookaburra’s and hearing the thunder reverberate around the ranges from the mid afternoon thunderstorms. The hosts were very accommodating, and the chalet had everything we needed. Despite this we loved taking the short drive into Bellingen for a bite to eat and a coffee.
Guest House on Hyde is a lovely place, and genuinely is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bellingen. Don't be concerned over traffic noise from the road - the room was very quiet. We chose not to east breakfast at the Guest House and instead availed ourselves of one of the local cafes which was entirely personal choice and not at all a reflection on the offering from the Guest House kitchen. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely place in a great part of Bellingen...quiet and still an easy walk to town. We stayed twice over a two week period with a few days off in between. The first room was great, as was the second, though internet wasn't good in the second room. As others have said, the steps and walk to the room is a little testing, so I'd recommend packing smaller light bags and making a few trips from the car. Otherwise- really beautiful!
The apartment is charming and comfortable. It’s a converted building so has lots of character (spacious with high ceilings). The location in central Bellingen above some shops is fabulous. Wide verandas provide really private outdoor eating and lounging areas. Great air con and ceiling fans too.
John is a wonderful host and I liked that the apartment has character rather than a generic style.
we stayed in room No 1 with doors opening out to a gorgeous view of hills and property, the renovated room was gorgeous bed was awesome so was the bathroom, only issue was the Internet did not really work. Bellingen township is only a few minutes drive and the restaurants/coffee shops there are awesome.
The accommodation was perfect. Nestled into a lovely area of green grass, shrubs and trees. Fantastic bathroom and open air spa. Very quite except for the surrounding bush wildlife. Several items supplied by the host for breakfast. Comfy bed. A short 3-4 min drive the heart of Bellingen.
Modern well appointed spotlessly clean quality accommodation. Short walking distance to centre and quiet at night . Loved all the extras such as wines, spirits and organic chocolates in the minibar. Best place we've stayed in Bello. Sofabed for extra guests. Definitely be back again.
Great location, including parking, often a problem in Bellingen. Close to shops, restaurants, bars and scenic riverside walks. Excellent facilities, including very pleasant balcony almost literally built into a large tree. Genial host, helpful and cheery. We'll come again.
Bellingen Hideaway tiny home was a sweet & delightful escape enroute home to Sydney from Brisbane. You literally feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere despite Bellingen town being a 5-6 min drive away. It’s tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home.
Well located near centre of town. Access is generally through the bar. Currently there are major works underway but this did not impact our trip. We have stayed here a few times...it's reliable and cheap by Bellingen standards.
Perfect Private room for a stop over. Host has thought of everything. Loved the birdsong and rain overnight.

Give yourself time to explore Bellingen. A nice walk to the river.
Perfect Host
Great host, great location, groovy apartment in general. Location couldn't be better being right in the centre of town. Even still, it was quiet and one still feels like one is having the Bellingen experience.
The restored house is located in the centre of Bellingen which provides easy access to restaurants and a supermarket for self catering in the kitchen originating from the YHA period.
Wendy and David made our experience in Bellingen beyond lovely. The guest house is comfortable, clean, and charming in every way - we're sure to be back and highly recommend!
Quiet area, lodge on big grounds with a view to the nearby mountains, cows and llamas grazing on surrounding properties, good size room, handy little kitchenette area
