Carriageway Retreat - Unique Red Rattler Carriages and Units, hotel in Brookfield

Carriageway Retreat - Unique Red Rattler Carriages and Units is a recently renovated farm stay in Brookfield where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace.

Accommodation is very good and comfortable but far from Dungog although we were there to have a concert so not much time to explore the surroundings.

Family of 3 stayed as a stopover 2 nights

Family of 3 stayed as a stopover 2 nights Great to explore nearby places. The staff were very helpful. Our young teenage daughter said “0h, how sweet is she” Pool was refreshing. Generous filled homemade pizzas are delicious and delivered hot. Would make a good spot for family or small group celebration. Thank you - unique and fun time.

We went to the Dungog Art Festival on the October long weekend. Plenty to see, do and eat! Also celebrating Oktoberfest. There were Sausage Dog Races! Hilarious! It was my second visit to the Art Festival, but the first time staying overnight. It made a difference in the amount of time we were able to spend in the town looking through shops and having lunch and later dinner. We dined at Settlers Arms Hotel where the food was served quickly and the desserts were superb. Lots of market stalls on the Sunday and a free bus to the Sulpture Garden. For those with dogs, it appears a very dog-friendly area.
