Gistel is linked to Saint Godelieve - nice to discover the legend in the abbeye (film, museum, chappel, ...) and the local church - good stop for food (all sorts) - ideal place to stay if you want to be close to the sea, and the historical Bruges, and love biking through the fileds along canals... - surprises like historcial wind mills, and brand new, mini "neerhof" etc
