Very friendly people. The sheep farm and wool store and lavender farm were the best. Town decided to clean a septic area in front of a restaurant at lunch time! STINKY and LOUD. Ate at Harbour House Ales and Spirits.. save your money. Nook and Cranny delicious.

We stayed for one night and arrived late but we were welcomed and we could visit the other bedrooms to chose the best for us. They asked us what time we wanted to have breakfast. They made recommendations for the restaurants.

    I love Pictou!

I love Pictou! There are great places to eat, a marvellous place on Front Street to buy pottery and other beautiful things. Love to walk along the trail by the harbour (pictures of two herons on Wednesday)and explore the small business and chat with the VERY friendly people. You get to feel at home in Pictou very quickly.

Beautiful town; I had a delightful sunrise yoga/prayer session by the ocean side and met some locals as well. How fantastic of a place. I truly hope you take time to stay here. It is close to Cape Breton Island and a ferry away from PEI. A gem of a place. I will be back, hopefully.

Pictou is a beautiful little town with some nice historic sites, waterfront dining and some cool little shops. Unfortunately it seems that many Food & beverage places have closed permanently over the past couple of years, perhaps due to the closure of the Pulp & Paper Mill and/or the pandemic. But the huge plus is that the air no longer carries a toxic odour.

Pictou is a picturesque town with friendly people. Great beaches nearby and wonderful ocean views. Only place I have ever been where a juvenile Bald Eagle, sitting on a post, was comfortable enough to let us and others get close for a photo op....pretty amazing.....

Loved everything about this B&B! Brenda was a warm and welcoming hostess. She also packed me a breakfast when I had to leave before breakfast was served to catch the ferry. The room was well-appointed, the outside area lovely, and the location was convenient both to the town’s waterfront area and to the ferry. Brenda and George kindly helped me up and down the stairs with my luggage, given my shoulder and hip injuries. A wonderful place!

All around wonderful. The owners truly go above and beyond for guests. They were very accommodating with making a separate meal for our young daughter. The breakfast (french toast and eggs Benedict) was cooked from scratch and absolutely delicious. The inn itself is beautifully appointed and the rooms are spacious and bright. Walking distance to the center of Pictou. Highly recommend! The best bed and breakfast we have yet to stay at.

We loved staying at this historic home in Pictou! Our hosts were very attentive and charming! We loved a bountiful breakfast served in a very quaint front room. We also enjoyed the parlor for socializing and resting. The home is so close to the Hector Heritage Quay (museum), the waterfront, some excellent restaurants and a lively entertainment tent (set up for the summer tourist season). Highly recommend!

The dining room has spectacular views, and tables are positioned to enjoy them. The log cabin lodge is beautiful and spacious, reminiscent of U.S national park lodges. Adirondack chairs on the bluffs overlooking the ocean provide scenic and private seatings. The landscaping is also very nicely done. Excellent value for a unique property.

Heritage building, decorated tastefully to match without sacrificing comfort. Nice outdoor balcony seating area. Very hospitable and interesting hosts. Convenient location-- everything is walkable. Breakfast was limited-- no options and no seconds-- but tasty, pretty healthy and a good 'continental' amount for the average person.

The inn's lobby & dining areas are lovely & nicely furnished. The room was clean & comfortable. Continental breakfast was excellent. The owner was very kind, friendly, & attentive. She would offer to help with luggage, if she saw someone having difficulty. She works hard to provide a clean, safe environment for her guests.
