My room very cozy, for one person, maybe two. Breakfast and bed excellent, nice complete shower. I did not rent a car, I regret it because the parking lot was right beside my room and no need for reservations.

We spent 4 nights here and are so glad we chose the ‘Ochsen’. The hotel is comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect for visiting the beautiful sites and connects quickly with the pedestrian center. The breakfast was fabulous with a great selection.

Nightmare stay. Never going to book any Dormero hotel again, I was with a colleague and we booked two rooms, informed the hotel well in advance that it will be a late check-in, after midnight. The hotel gave us instructions to pick up the keys from the safe and enter. One of the keys (my colleague’s room) didn’t work. It was well past midnight. We tried calling the emergency number that didn’t work. We tried calling two other numbers, one of which finally worked. The hotel manager showed up finally, angry that he was bothered with this issue. When we told him about the issue and that the emergency number wasn’t working, he threatened us and asked us to leave. He was immature, suffered from what looked like high blood pressure, and behaved very badly. He finally made another keycard for my colleague’s room and left yelling. No apology, no remorse, just a horrible attitude.
We were tired after a four hour drive and had an early morning meeting. And it was after midnight. So we swallowed our pride and stayed the night.
This was the worst hotel experience, with ZERO customer service or any kind of service recovery.

Etwas abgelegen, aber das war für uns nicht schlimm.

We chose this as it was halfway on a much longer journey, and the photos of the town looked nice, but we were in the end very glad that we did. We only saw some of the place, but the centre is full of lovely buildings, churches and towers, and we really enjoyed walking around. There were some good restaurants (we were there Saturday evening and most were full), and it felt like a place that would be good to spend at least another day in.

A beautiful castle, one of its kind, with an excellent museum inside. Several other museums, and several art galleries. Plenty of family friendly parks. AND the beautiful Main River with parks/walk-paths along both sides.
Affordable variety of restaurants/beer gardens/wine stube everywhere. A superlative walking zone (actually, several!!) with shops and places to eat/drink/just sit out doors and watch the many people enjoying life....

A very pretty town, not extremely busy or bustling.
A very pretty town, not extremely busy or bustling. People were very nice and kind. Could use it as a base to visit other places in Germany eg Heidelburg, Cologne, Munich because of good train links. Lots of bakeries and small restaurants serving German food. Has McDonalds for kids. Had a Pandora store. Two supermarkets close together - Edeka and Aldi. Both about 20 minutes walk from centre.

A pleasant town on the banks of the Main river with some lovely old winding streets and buildings. It also has a very large and modern shopping gallery located almost in the centre of town. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants with a particularly fine Thai restaurant the pick of the bunch.

Aschaffenburg is a very scenic and old town.
Aschaffenburg is a very scenic and old town. There is a lot of history there. It was also a town know for its American military bases and all the military families that lived there. it has a vey beautiful castle that sits right on the Rhine river. There are endless places to eat! There are a lot of old buildings and streets that are like post cards. Take a drive outside the city and see the country side and the views of the rolling hills and valleys.

We just stayed here overnight and did not explore the city.
We just stayed here overnight and did not explore the city. So we really don't have an opinion about the city. We got in late at Frankfurt and were heading southeast so we just needed an overnight outside Frankfurt and on our way elsewhere.
the apartment is sometimes called “ the room” on booking which makes it confusing. it is a full apartment with hallway, large bedroom with double bed, and a large kitchen, living and dining room combination with a futon/couch,( not comfortable to sleep on) plus a large bathroom with huge tube/shower combination.
The pictures don’t do it justice , it is much nicer! The building used to be part of the US Barracks in Aschaffenburg, now converted to apartments
The hotel is very easily reachable from the highway passing by. It is situated on the edge of the city center, next to two big parking buildings. The reception is punctual and correct. The rooms are big enough (in particular the family room) and are clean. The hotel is (very) quiet. Breakfast is served early, and although it does not offer a huge choice, it certainly offers enough for anybody!
It was just a quick walk to the main train station and despite being so close, it was fairly quiet. Breakfast was average. Old town is not far and the castle is within walking distance. There are some awesome restaurants nearby. We were able to leave our luggage in a hold area while we explored a little more of the area before our train departed. A/C worked well- especially on the hot days.
Incredible service from the owner and his staff. Dogs are allowed and on no charge. They provide croissants and cake and coffee for free during the day. The mini bar is also for free. The beds are mega comfortable and huge. The best place in Aschaffenburg and I have tried many different ones in the past 15 years
Nice and clean hotel right in the middle of Aschaffenburg that was within walking distance of everything of interest. Staff was wonderful, the man working the front desk was very friendly and was fluent in english and even spoke some spanish. Had a nice mini-fridge in the room.
We both really liked the location of Post Apartments Aschaffenburg. We liked our room & ensuite, everything was clean & just great. We stayed here a second time before our departure from Frankfurt airport. Thank you for the mattress topper!
Nice hotel, located very conveniently across the Aschaffenburg train station.
Staff is tremendously friendly and helpful!
I recommend this place to people who need to work in this city or want to explore this old town by the river Main.
Location, location, location! Its proximity to the Alte Stadt and the Johannisburg Schloss made it a great hotel for us! The bacon at breakfast was delicious! We liked having access to a lift to get our luggage up to the second floor.
I was travelling through Germany and had to make a night break - I could not find anything else in Aschaffenburg. The hotel is lovely, old style, kind people.
Everything was good, also the restaurant except...
Excellent location near the Schloss. Easy walk to restaurants. Parking area in the courtyard saved time and money. Herr Hopp and the staff were gracious and helpful. We had the best room in the house.
Unlike the previous comments written by other guests, I didn't find the bathroom so small. It was just OK. The room was OK, no noise from outside. Enough parking places in the hotel parking.
This is a very basic hotel. It served our needs, but has all the comforts of an industrial building. We picked it for it's location. The breakfast was excellent.
Amazin apartment with all handy facilities.
Kids friendly. Near A3. Parking in front of a appartement. Will definitely book it again and i totally recommend it.
Great location, close to the train station, perfect for the purpose of my stay, pleasant staff at the reception and the restaurant/bar linked to the hotel.
