Hotel Huasicama is such a beautiful place. Very clean, nice host, and great breakfast. He let us keep our luggage there while we hiked the Quilotoa Loop.

The people were wonderful and it's a lovely place. We got a lot of useful information on hikes as well as the living of people there. They prepared a very tasty dinner for us and the breakfast is very rich and tasty. We would highly recommend this place.

The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.
Hostería Daryce was so amazing! What a great place to go and relax. Comfortable beds, quiet and relaxing. It’s an easy trip from Latacunga, with fresh air and beautiful views of Cotopaxi. They can even arrange a few different tours or transportation for you which is a great bonus when you don’t know exactly where to go or how. Also super family friendly, with a lot of space for kids to run around and plenty of fun for everyone, with pool tables, ping pong tables, basketball, volleyball, football. Definitely recommend coming here!
The place is a mansion with an inner yard. Looks like an upscale BandB. The family who owns it and takes care of it is very nice and the young son speaks English. Breakfast is served in the inner court downstairs and it reminds you more of a restaurant service than of a typical hotel breakfast. We were greatly impressed and would strongly recommend the place. Also, there is a very nice upscale and at the same time not expensive restaurant nearby that we were recommended and we really liked it.
This is a very affordable stay that I’d recommend to anyone stopping in Latacunga before adventuring into Cotopaxi or Quilotoa. The buss stop is walkable, there are many restaurants near by, and Victor Hugo is an incredible host that generously shares information about the surrounding nature and treks. They also offer free luggage storage which is really amazing and safe.
Easy check-in. Good info on the Quilotoa Loop trek, including bus schedule and daily intinerary for the trek. Hostel is 10-15 minute walk (or short taxi ride) from bus station, but in much nicer part of city, near central square and cathedral. Secure storage of your unneeded stuff ($1/day) if you're hiking the Quilotoa Loop.
A lovely stay in Latacunga. The facilities were good and we could tell lots of other hikers were staying here. The room was comfy but a bit dark. We were able to store our luggage here while doing the hike. The best thing was they organised a private Cotopaxi tour for us and it was seamless, we were so grateful.
I stayed at Hotel Rosim for one night and would recommend it. Staff were very nice and helpful even though I speak only the very most basic Spanish. I was allowed to check in early. The location in Latacunga is great, and breakfast is large and very tasty. Wifi worked well.
The highlight of Hotel Central was the staff! They were so welcoming, kind, and attentive. Everyone helped with anything we needed and they made us a great breakfast both mornings we were there. We really enjoyed our stay here.
the Hotel was pretty confortable. excellent atention and very kind people. i came here thanks to Jaguar Expeditions which is an excellent tour and transport agency
nice recommendation i will come back for sure
The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was decent; they have a nice restaurant with some options for lunch and dinner. The hotel is well located, close to some stores. The staff is supportive.
The owner helpt us out a lot. He gave us a lot of useful information about the Quilotoa loop and other things within Latacunga. We had a great stay and could leave our bags for free.
Big room with a nice view on the main square of latacunga. Many restaurants and shops nearby. The personal was so super friendly always asking if everything is to our liking.
Very comfortable bed, nice room overall with a flat screen TV and sitting area. Good breakfast, good proximity to the bus station and the centre of Latacunga.
