Terrific location, delicious buffet breakfast, clean and efficient. Opt for excellent buffet breakfast-inform staff a day head and they discount the buffet and you pay only nine euros each day you take it. Car parking is included in your fee and is easily accessible from main hotel; at arrival pull up to the front where there is a space to unload and they will inform you of garage location. Don't mix up Nuevo Torreluz with others; they have apartments and Torreluz Senior.

Excellent location. Very clean. Very friendly staff
Almería lies on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusía, overlooked by the old Moorish citadel or ‘Alcazaba’. It offers sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear waters, and the typical friendliness of southern Spain. Its urban pattern blends Moorish legacy, medieval buildings, modern architecture, and colourful narrow streets.
It was founded in the mid-10th century by the Caliph of Cordoba, and was named ‘Al-Mariy-yat’ or ‘the watchtower’, as it was part of the coastal defences of the Caliphate. After internal divisions in the Caliphate and Christian crusades, the city finally surrendered to the Catholic monarchs a few years before the first trip of Columbus. A range of hotels in Almeria’s city centre will allow you to enjoy this magic atmosphere from a close distance.
The Cathedral of St Mary of the Incarnation was originally a mosque, and was built resembling a fortress, in order to offer resistance to pirates. The nearby Gata-Nijar Cape Natural Park offers beautiful landscapes and beaches. Hotels on Almeria’s beaches are a popular choice, while a variety of accommodation is also available in the surrounding villages of Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce, and San José.
The city is serviced by Almería Airport, a local railway station, and a bus station. Ferry services to Tunis and the Spanish enclave of Melilla are also available.

Almeria city was okay but once you see the sights it’s just another city. We found it extremely difficult to find a good restaurant that was open. There really is nothing spectacular about Almeria city. If it’s on your travels then stop in but don’t go out of your way to visit.

Almeria is a beautiful coastal town with a long history as a trading port on the Mediterranean. Since it is a bit outside the typical tourist destinations it is less swamped by "hordes' of visitors. Numerous sights in town and countryside to explore, e.g. castle, cathedral, promenades, parks, markets, etc. It is surrounded by the only "real" desert in Europe!

Almeria is a little unknown Spanish city. Small but it does offer an amazing foodie experience. Good weather all year around... And tapas come for free with your drink!
Apart from that, the beaches are amazing. Virgin wild beaches and coved that you can only access on foot.

The people are very nice and welcoming. If you look for a place in a city which is still not too crowded the autumn in Almería is perfect! It is necessary that you have a bike or even a car to get around.

A beautiful city… very walkable and pedestrian friendly with beautiful squares and benches everywhere. Terrific restaurants on every corner providing great value if you stick to the drink+ free tapa system. Very little English spoken… mostly Spanish tourists so that might be a slight disadvantage if you don’t speak the language. The people are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I can’t wait for my next- much longer- visit!!!
All staff, particularly Maria Isabel, Mina, Eva and Jennifer were very personable, friendly and helpful and accommodated our needs throughout. The hotel was great. Our junior suite was spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed and had excellent L'Occitane products. Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic with a stunning view of the Alcazaba. Location in the old town was perfect to explore Almeria. We will certainly return. Muchas gracias for a wonderful stay.
The hotel and our room was on the main thoroughfare of Almeria city. Shopping , restaurants and bars were in walking distance. We were able to walk to all sights and museums and churches and we are both in our seventies. We walked to the beach which has a long promenade with eating establishments along the way. Our last night was disturbed by many young people out on the town but we could have reduced the noise by closing the windows.
Great location close to the best of city life yet also close enough to the beach to walk down and have a swim.
The area is surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. The apartment was however in a quiet road, we were not disturbed at night.
It is very modern and clean and has all you need. The WiFi was working very well throughout our stay allowing us to research trips out, contact and stay in touch with family.
Everything. The location is perfect. Parking is free in the underground garage just 2 minutes away from the hotel. Apartments are big, well designed and well equipped. You also have fitness in the building. Pool is beautiful and nice way to refresh yourself in the middle of the city. All in all worth every penny.
The flat was very clean . It bigger then expected, a large 1 bedroom flat .
The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and so did our dog. You can take the dog on the beach , there is a dog meeting every evening all local our dog loved it .
The central location and the fantastic view were just overwhelming. We thoroughly enjoyed the extremely thoughtful and lovingly designed furnishings. We can highly recommend this apartment. This will be our first choice when we return to Almeria.
Car park access is a little bit sketchy. Underground parking accessed from behind the hotel into a very tight car lift. Once inside the car park is very tight. I was using a mid size SUV. I think it is similar at all hotels in Almeria.
The location of the apartment was excellent. Right on the beach front. All so the centre of the resort. Its a lovely walk along the beach front. Surrounded by the restaurants and bars. All Spanish. Fantastic.
Very nice and really helpful staff. Good breakfasts at hotel and delicious in tavern next door (same name). And absolutely perfect location to see the city and all monuments. 10 min walk to the beaches.
Great apartment with amazing sunset views over the mediterraneo!
One step outside and you are on the beach.
Good bar/cafetaria next door.
Best place to stay when you are in Almeria!
