The smell of chlorine permeates. For conferences, too institutional for guests seeking historical experience.

Great location. Walking distance to Plaza Mayor, shops, restaurants and the Casco Antiguo. The staff was super friendly. The room was clean, spacious and the bed/pillows comfortable. The parking garage is close by, better to park and walk to the hotel than try and drop off bags. The property established great communication at all times prior to checking in.

It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around.
Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff
Great food. Will be re booking to go back.
Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls
Comfy big bed, lovely shower room.

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.
Very central to Cáceres. The owner has thought of every need and was very attentive. It is a small basement apartment so no views overlooking the city but actually, in a hot city, it is brilliant for keeping cool and quiet when you are in it. It is in the centre of the old part of Caceres and its historic buildings. It is very close to Cáceres's vibrant town square which is also a lovely place to have breakfast. Parking available in hotel nearby.
Good access from the underground parking space to all floors via the elevator. Our room was a good size, very comfortable double bed. The breakfast was a quality continental style, and plenty of it. Access to the old town was leisurely 20 minutes walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel was spot on for our 2 nights in Caceres. Highly recommended.
The room was so clean and fresh with good linen and towels - and I loved having a duvet instead of the usual heavy blankets. Only a few minutes walk to get to the wonderful old city of Caceres but, because the hotel is not on a main road it was really quiet and peaceful at night
Jorge the host/manager is great with information and help with taxis etc.
The place is just amazing, the view from the window, bakery downstairs, cafes, shops, places of interest evrything is all there, as well as all the equipment in the apartment, hot water in the shower, the interior- really really liked all this! Tbere are books about the town, the region and the whole Spain.
I loved the splendid location and the extremely nice and cheerful staff. The hotel is beautiful, located by the main plaza, the room was exquisite and I don't remember ever having had such nice staff at the reception. It was a pleasure to stay there! They also recommended a very good restaurant.
On our way to Northern Europe, we always make a stopover at Barcelo Caceres, and we are never disappointed. The rooms are nice and comfortable, the breakfast is super. The place hotel is modern, but you feel at home. And the staff is friendly and helpful, (professional)
The hotel was gorgeous and very comfortable. The woman at the front desk was so nice. We were just there for a short stop over and wished we could have seen more of the city. The hotel was in a perfect location to walk around the old part since we had limited time.
A lovely family run hotel just around the corner from the Plaza Mayor. The room was lovely and the family/staff also lovely and really helpful. This hotel is a great place to be based to explore wonderful Cáceres. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Terrific location. I arrived early in Caceres and went to the hotel. The staff very kindly allowed me to leave my bag at reception and also gave me the key to the room as early as possible. This kindness was greatly appreciated.
essentially a furnished apartment for less than the average cost of a hotel room. Lots of space, beautifully furnished, small but functional kitchen. perfect location just outside the walled medieval town.
It was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our entire trip. And we were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood. If possible we would love to return here and spend more time. Our stay was too short!
Beautiful property. Very close to Caceres town but very tranquil. The pool was fantastic and rooms well appointed. would definitely return to this hotel
