This was a magical place to stay in El Chorro! Amazing views out the door, walking distance to the train station and restaurant, comfortable bed, lots of light, and hot shower. Felt very cozy and I really enjoyed my time there, was my favorite place to stay in town for hiking El Caminito del Rey.

Everything was perfectamenta as the spanish people says, amazing hotel, amazing people, amazing location, amazing food. In summary it is an amazing place with people that you feel you know them since long time, they explained everything in every details possible for the trip to the caminito del rey and would come back for sure to this hotel again in the future.

There isn't anything to do in El Chorro, apart from our excellent hotel, there is one other small bar next to the train station and a super market which is a very small shop that sells very little. The train station is unmanned and our experiences with the trains in Spain you could write a comedy series on it, with tickets you booked online not arriving or cancelled the last 4 trains and costing 80 Euros for a taxi to get back to the hotel.
Or 40 minutes late, meaning you missed your connection and then had a wait of 4 hours or return to El Chorro.

Great start point for the Caminito del rey - shuttle buses will take you to the trail head leading to the Caminito del Rey access point. Caminito del Rey ends 2 km away from el Chorrro. There are a couple of other interesting walking trails starting in el Chorro. Parking can be a problem.

We booked room based on photos but got something very different. Room given wasn't suitable for us but for a younger modern couple. The stairs were too narrow no sofa . Lighting too bright and exposed for us. It has it good points with views and using for overnight stay is good but not for a week stay. The walk around was lovely and recommended. Guided tour stats at 9.30 and well worth it. No outside eating places just the restaurant. This hotel wasn't for us but is suitable for backpackers.

Charming, well maintained hotel in a stunning location.
Charming, well maintained hotel in a stunning location.
We were a group of friends traveling together and stayed in a 2 bedroom unit.
The room was totally fine but it would have been good to know before booking that the walls in the unit don’t go all the way to the ceiling (not even the bathroom room ones). The gap is really wide - no privacy possible.

An incredible place for climbing, walking or just relaxing.
An incredible place for climbing, walking or just relaxing. We loved it and it’s so accessible from Málaga. The scenery is breathtaking. Walking the Caminito Del Rey is a must if you’re in the area...I was nervous as I don’t like heights but I’m so pleased to have conquered my fears...it was utterly thrilling. The area is packed with things to do and places to see. We’ll be. Back!

El Chorro is a great location to stay if you are doing The Caminito del Rey as it is at the end of the walk and far less busy than Ardales (the starting location). It is also a great base for walking, hiking and climbing. The surrounding mountains and countryside are fabulous and it is definitely worth staying an extra night to enjoy the surrounding areas. The nearby town of Antequera is very interesting and should not be missed whilst you are in the area.
A beautiful place to stay, quiet and peaceful. Julie and Glyn were amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful they really made you feel at home. The location was perfect for climbing, walking etc. There were good quality places to eat nearby. Perfect for Caminito Del Rey, the start point for the tour was just 5 minutes away. You can drive there, park and get on the tour bus which takes you to the start of the walk and you finish the walk back at your car. Highly recommended.
We booked to do the el caminito del rey hike, so this hotel was the perfect spot to stay. it was also easy to get to other places in the park. Our accommodation was comfortable. And everything was clean when we arrived.
Claudio at reception was very friendly and helpful. On our arrival the restaurant was about to close and he arranged for the restaurant to serve us food before closing, which we appreciated. Everyone was super friendly overall.
Jacques is a wonderful host. Everything was better than expected with great view, big private room, property, etc. Breakfast was really special, absolutely delicious! Jacques puts a lot of effort into a nice home cooked spread that I looked forward to every morning. The extra meals are also worth the money! Great community dinner vibes. Honor code for drinks is great as well. Climbing nearby and out in the serene countryside.
We had a lovely stay in a well equipped house right in the middle of El Chorro. The host was incredibly accommodating and flexible making sure we were comfortable, and going above and beyond in his efforts to assist.
Communication was very clear, I can't recommend highly enough!
Great facilities, washing machine, dishwasher, free coffee, 3 bathrooms and plenty of outdoor space.
We look forward to coming back soon!!
the pool area and Garden was good for the children, the house was clean and when we had problems they were dealt with very quickly.
The wifi is good and the kitchen was quite well stocked. it was not too far away from El Chorro and the Caimito del Rey. Although the roads are a little treacherous.
Also we left a computer lead behind and the host was kind enough to arrange for it to be sent to us.
Excellent location, especially for climbing but also only a short walk to El Chorro. We had a lovely view of the sun rise every morning. The villa had a nice rustic feel and was generally comfortable. The hosts went above and beyond, shopping for us in Alora as we didn't have a rental car and were very friendly.

Our host was very friendly and giving. We enjoyed the location and the climbing in the area. Don’t forget to say Hi to Cheesepa the dog (she’s shy but we saw her wag her tail when she thought we weren’t looking) and Looney the cat. loved picking oranges and lemons just outside our door.
The place is absolutely wonderful. Frank and Jolanda are the perfect hosts. Every room has it's own terrace, the Pool is great and the best is the breakfast. We loved the place as our base for hiking Camino del Rey and El Torcal. Thank you for the great time!
The location was perfect, it was close from every climbing spot. The view on the cliffs and the fields is awesome. The place was really clean. Antonio was really kind with us. He offered us some of his delicious oranges from his trees.
Lovely house, great location, nice pool and well equipped. Very pleasant house manager, quick efficient and informative despite my lack of Spanish. A lovely relaxing spot after a days climbing or whatever you're doing yourself.
Wonderful location. Hotel has a great interior design with clever recycling use, which you spot all around you.
Make sure you pay for your breakfast in your accomodation deal it'such cheaper (E10)
Very quaint old house set into the hillside which has been renovated beautifully, great views of the mountains and walking access to some of the climbing areas directly through the pine forest
Surrounding is amazing, really close to Caminito del Rey. Place is super clean and Frank & Jolanda are really nice and supportive hosts. Breakfast is also really good.
We wanted a private location with a well-equipped kitchen, we got all that + location is amazing - 5 min to climbing/hiking and our hosts were exceptional!!
