parking just in front of the hotel, quiet area despite being in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. the best was being able to sit in the garden and read peacefully. check-in was super simple and no problem that I did my booking 30 minutes before arrival. room was spacious and had a great view with large windows. would come again!

The location of the hotel is great - the town is really lovely, with great restaurants and cafés.
The staff was friendly and the pool was refreshing about a day's hiking.
The tourist office is often closed and the hotel does not give out maps, so come prepared!

This is a fantastic hotel, just a short walk from the center of town. The staff were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast very much. We had a room on the first floor and liked sitting in the chairs out front of the room, taking in the view and night air.
If you are a light sleeper, I suggest bringing earplugs as the walls are thin. Luckily our neighbors went to bed shortly after us so the noise wasn't too disruptive.

Wonderful apartment with kitchen and living room. Comfy bed and outside balcony. Everything I needed was there. I would highly recommend this for hikers and adventurers who need space to wash and dry kit and prep for day trips.
The town is in the middle of the Picos de Europa. Although not as well-known as some other mountain ranges, the scenery is as good as the Alps, if not better, The town centre is fairly flat with plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a very nice ice cream shop. All the local people we met were very friendly.

A pleasant village in the Picos - provides a better alternative to the busy and more popular Potes and Panes. Eating out is reasoanbly easy, though choice can be a bit limited. Quite a few hotels here and some smaller guest houses too. Scenery in the area is outstanding - I recommend for anything from walking to motorcycling.

We had timed our visit to coincide with the Cabrales cheese and cider festival (last Sunday of August) as we have attended this before and enjoyed it and we were not disappointed; the whole town was buzzing with people, traditional Asturian music and costumes and lots of superb traditional food.
There’s a regular bus service to Poncebos from where there is access to lovely walks such as the village of Bulnes (can also be accessed by funicular train) and the stunning Cares Gorge and others

This town is a gateway to Picos de Europa, where we did several days of hiking. There are some good hotels here. However, food choices are very limited, especially for vegetarians/vegans. Note that most places don't start serving dinner until 8 pm, which was a challenge after we'd been out on the trails until the afternoon.

Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery.
Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery. Cheese cave is close and worth visting, set above river of the clearest water. The approach to Las Arenas from the east is through a spectacular limestone gorge, along a good road with stopping places from which to enjoy the views. We did not have time to take funicular to Bulnes but would do that if we went again.

Came here to walk the Cares Route through Picos de Europa - a stunning part of Spain, simply beautiful. Lots of options in town for eating and drinking, and a supermarket also. Enjoyed our brief stat. The Cares Route walk, 24 kms, is not for the faint hearted though!

The location was perfect. We didn't bring a car and it was right by the bus stop. It was also walking distance to the bus to take you to Poncebos (the start of the hiking trail) and the Cuevas de Cabrales. The hotel was also very close to an area with many restaurants.
The hotel was a beautiful old(?) facility and gave us a large room.
The breakfast was hearty and generous and just what you would need if you were going on a hike,
Ivan was the nicest host, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the beautiful town on las arenas cabrales….but slightly away from the Main Street. There were great dining options nearby, a laundromat 100 mtrs away, fantastic access to the hiking routes, next to ample free parking. we were there during a festival and it was just the right time and right place.
The staff were very hospitable and helpful, and the hotel was beautiful and clean. Don’t miss the breakfast, it was the perfect way to start the day. The internet didn’t work on the top floor but worked fine in the lobby, which is not uncommon in smaller hotels in small towns. If I ever have the opportunity to go back to Cantabria, I will definitely book my stay at Torrejon!
Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The panoramic view of the mountains is simply exceptional! But just about everything else about the room and the hotel was excellent: very comfortable beds, cleanliness, very helpful staff. And the location, Arenas de Cabrales, is perfect too, with nice restaurants and shops. If I ever return to Asturias I'll book again.
Our stay at the Pension was great, parking with plenty of space right in front and the host is super nice! It was very convenient to have access to the outside kitchen. The kitchen equipment wasn't the cleanest, though this is not to be blamed on the host but unfortunately fellow travelers). Great location for access to the Picos de Europa with great hikes.
Great location, super friendly staff, spacious clean room with a nice long bed and a strong crispy clean shower with a comfortable bathtub, swimming pool and other amenities in the middle of town. Lovely siderias and restaurant across the street and free parking right behind and next to the hotel. Highly recommended.
Very good accommodation with free parking on the dirt outside of the building, close to the most famous trail of Picos de Europa, well equipped kitchen, spacious apartment. The price of the accommodation was really great compare to the others by the ocean, and you can get to the beach in only 40 minutes.
The location of the hotel was great. The town was within short walking distance. Jim was excellent. He exceeding our exceptions during our stay. He helped us a navigate our hiking trail for the mountains and accommodated to all our needs. We will be revisiting this hotel in the future for sure.
Great place and great hosts. The rooms are comfortable, and if you are with a dog you will have a separate entrance. There is a bar open until 11 pm, free parking at the hotel, breakfast. The hotel owners speak excellent English and there were no problems with check-in.
Florentina is a wonderful host. Very nice, helpful and definetly a more cosy stay than one of the bigger hotels/stays in the area. She also gave us some tips for the hiking we were planning in the area!
Everything: the location, very clean, comfortable, the food, and the staff is super friendly. Loved the stay there. If I ever go back to Picos de Europa I’ll be staying here for sure.
