The facility is quite large with lots of lounge areas outside of the sleeping areas which was nice. Males and females sleep on separate sides of the room. The albergue has a restaurant and there are others nearby. It is a short walk into the town. Bunk beds are the built in wooden type, so it is quiet.

A sad town dominated by the motorway and viaduct that has sucked out the livelihood of what was and could still be a beautiful place. Rows of empty shops and streets of unoccupied town houses, several recommended restaurants and bars closed and virtually nobody visiting and buying except pilgrims passing by.
Beautiful cathedral and cloisters surrounded by a few bars and multiple pharmacies perhaps making a living from selling anti depressants. Nevertheless
we enjoyed our visit and stay at The Montero.

Liked the old town and cathedral.
Liked the old town and cathedral. The pilgrims on their way to Santiago also makes the churches more 'alive' than when it's just tourists. As a small town 'boy' I also liked the smaller scale of this town and the easy access with car, even to the older parts.
Great place - a bit outside Mondonedo but Luis the finca owner met us in town and gave us a lift, and dropped us off in morning. He was also great in messaging us to arrange to pick us up. He was helpful in talking about the Camino as we were walking that, and his experience. Nice room, with good size, nice bathroom. Nice breakfast on patio area in morning. Thanks Luis you made our stay very welcoming.
This is an amazing place for pilgrims on the camino. It's exceptionally clean, very open and big and spacious. There's a very nice garden with shade and lovely chairs. A very big open kitchen that is fully stocked. Couches and a TV sitting area. Washer dryer. There is an attached hotel and restaurant. The beds are very comfortable clean and it is quiet. An excellent place thank you
A Casa Das Augas is a lovely place in the middle of the country side near Mondonedo. The place is not only beautiful and peaceful but it is run by a warm-hearted and kind host Monica. The place has been in her family for many years and it was originally a mill. I personally felt at home and wished I had stayed longer. I would definitely come back.
Everything. The location is perfect, the place itself is the gold standard in albergues. It is like a hotel. I loved the welcome pack. And Anna is just the best. She is so nice and helpful. This is the best Albergue I have stayed in on the Camino del Norte
Quiet location close to the Camino about 5km north of Mondońedo. Very classy, beautiful salon room with books and games, comfortable accommodations, and a nice breakfast. Husband/wife hosts were wonderful!
A very nice and affordable place to stay
Perfect for me as a pilgrim to have one relaxing and quiet stay over night.
Plus the owner of the hotel is extremely nice person. Good to talk to, very helpful.
A simple hotel but totally adequate for a stay on the road. Ivan the owner is super friendly. Motorcycle can be parked for free in a large, dry and safe garage. Great stay, thanks Ivan!
Comfortable hotel with on-site restaurant at the entrance to Mondoñedo, very convenient for Camino walkers. Staff was efficient and nice, providing insight to local attractions.
