Hotel Tikar, hotel in Playas de Vera

This small, boutique hotel with 6 junior suites is located just off the beach in the pretty village of Garrucha. This hotel has a garden, a restaurant and an on-site wine shop. Free Wi-Fi is included....

A small Hotel with only few rooms in walking distance to the centre and the beach. The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For breakfast it had a good continental breakfast. The food could be taken to the tables outside in the backyard by the swimming pool. The optional, dinner was excellent and the wine selection impressive.

We stayed at the naturist end of the beach but the beach goes on for miles heading down to Garrucha. The beaches were wide, clean and had beach bars dotted along at regular intervals. We enjoyed a couple of meals at Pomodoro, a lovely restaurant right on the beach but it was closing for the season on 10th September We can highly recommend their pizzas and the seafood spaghetti. On our last night (13th) we went to go out to dinner only to find that nearly all of the local restaurants had closed for the season. Had we not been on the Sangria for most of the afternoon we could have driven down to Peurto Rey but that wasn't an option. Luckily the supermarket was open until 9.30pm so we grabbed something to heat up in the apartment.
