The location is a good homebase to visit the Ribeira Sacra. It is directly in front of the Xunquera de Espadanedo Monastery. The decor was very nicely done. There were several sitting areas (indoor and out) that were really nice. The owner, Hugh, was very friendly and helpful.

The view is hands down the star of the show here at Rabacallos. The owners and their ‘wolfpack’ certainly add to the rural charm of this place; they could not have been more helpful even with a language barrier. Quite a long track down to the place so make sure the best driver is behind the wheel but you’ll get used to it. Also a great spot to see the jabalí (wild boar)! The kitchen wasn’t very functional which was a bit of a shame as I like to cook once or twice while on holiday but it didn’t matter too much as dinner in Parada do Sil is always a possibility and you can enjoy the regional white wine-Godello. You have to see it to believe how beautiful it is.
