Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality.BarbaraCanada - 10Scored 10
Very historic old town.
Very historic old town. It used to be the capital of Galicia. Beautiful cathedral. Location next to Mindo river makes it very special as well. Strolling along the river, with Tui lingering above was a delight.MarianneNetherlands - 10Scored 10
Tui was bigger than I expected.
Tui was bigger than I expected. It is a very interesting town close to the Portuguese border and has many historical buildings. There are lots of bars to choose from - El Pilar being our favourite. The old cathedral is worth a visit to view the architecture and there are some lovely walks along the riverside.

Restaurant/cafes near Albergue Pallanes were not open for food in the evening when local referrals were given but a nearby supermarket was well stocked. The kitchen at the Albergue provided all that was required for meal preparation. Only stayed one night. At the end of a days travel/walking Tui restaurants were a step too far away.

The property is in an ideal location, one block off the Camino path, and minutes away from an excellent supermarket and multiple restaurants. The apartment is ultra modern, exceptionally clean, and well maintained. Great balcony looking down on a narrow, ancient street in the old section of Tui. The owner communicated very well prior to our stay and met us at the door when we arrived. Truly an exceptional place that we could not recommend higher.

Facilities were great, exactly what we needed. We did not cook while here, but there looked to be pots, pans, etc. and hot plates available for use if needed. We arrived a bit late, and staff were great at organising a remote check in for us. Sent us the building access code, and a video to show us how to get to our room once we arrived. Super helpful! This property has a feeling of space. The interior is traditional and homely. The host was the best - our Spanish is poor, so we used Google Translate to communicate. Our courier Caminofacil delivered our baggage to the wrong address, and the host made contact with them, addressed the issue and then drove us to the address to pick them up!TigerPIreland

Her fully equipped private apartment was fully stocked with breakfast essentials, luncheon meats, bread milk, etc, and even a bottle of wine and chocolates. It is located right on the Camino only several hundred meters away from the Tui Cathedral. We stayed for two nights to rest up for our final stages to Santiago. The Apartment has a washing machine and a beautiful back garden oasis.
