The neighborhood is beautifiul and close to the "tourist district" -- although the village of Beaugency has such a lovely gentle feel that it didn't feel touristy. The garden area on the property where we could sit and enjoy the flowers and the view was so charming and beautiful. The hosts spoke enough English that we were completely fine without speaking French. Very accommodating. We traveled with bikes which they stored for us in a locked room. It was quiet and serene.

This is an experience! The rooms are small but well appointed and the ambiance is amazing. We did their buffet breakfast in the morning and it was lovely.

The room had a wonderful view over the river, and was spacious, unfortunately the window is small . The shower room was large with a walk-in shower, and good size washbasin. Again unfortunately we were there during a top 30's heatwave so the room was very hot, but the hotel supplied a fan, which was much appreciated.
The hotel included in there popular facilities a restaurant, which didn't actually belong to the hotel, even though it is on the premises. It was my birthday and I was looking forward to a nice meal. The menu was minimal which is okay if there has been thought and effort put into the courses, but it was pretty plain. Plus it was not cheap, I get a lot better at home. We had not booked breakfast, expecting a good feed the night before. I would stay again, as the hotel is in a very pleasant area,
