The location is beautiful, and there is a roof garden with a beautiful vioew of the castle and medieval city; a real added bonus. The apartment is easy to find and easy to access, and the host lives close by and is responsive and helpful. The accommodation is very well appointed and comfortable. We look forward to returning and spending longer in this lovely city.

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The lodging was unique and beautifully situated for a special experience. We loved the town and found lots to do. We wish we had taken Manu up on his offer to accompany us at check-in but with persistence we found the door. Just know that once you find the apse end of the church (opposite end to the entrance), you are 10 steps away from the front door of the tower, which is next to the Pottery studio and the Theater.

We very much enjoyed the walk up to the medieval ruins - there is a fascinating porcelain museum on several floors (there is a lift) which has a magnificent view from the top of Chauvigny and the bridge leading to Poitiers. There are 2 or 3 little bar/cafes also at the top of town and I believe you could in fact drive up rather than walk.
Apart from our Logis hotel the restaurants are pretty thin on the ground unless you like pizzas and crepes! Having said that, there were one or two super patisseries for those with a sweet tooth. We found one bar nearby (The Havana) which proved a godsend.
We were lucky to be in town for the Saturday market which was full of goodwill and good things.

This is a fantastic medieval walled city with five ancient castles /chateaux , its high up with spectacular views over the new town . So much to look at.
The town below is vibrant and full of life , plenty pf places to eat and drink , including a pleasant Chinese restaurant, a pizza restaurant is open every evening , many others,
Very big market on a Saturday lots of stalls although I found the clothes overpriced .
Gorgeous river to walk along side and the big supermarkets not too far away. Many other super places to visit within easy driving .
Absolute gem - we loved it. The location is in the old, largely traffic-free mediaeval area of Chauvigny, with a nice and quiet restaurant below the bedroom window which looked straight onto the small theatre and wonderful Romanesque church. The room is quite small but had had been very cleverly designed so that we didn't feel the lack of space. Access instructions were sent and easily followed. It is quaint and fabulous - a high point of our visit to France.
This was our second stay at this B&B. We love it. Madame Doux is charming and was very patient with us practicing our French! Her breakfasts are superb. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. Chauvigny is a 15 min walk. We highly recommend it to anyone and loved it just as much the second time.
Hotel is in the centre of Chauvigny, convenient for shops, sightseeing. Also has its own car park. Owner was very friendly and helpful with regards to a gluten free breakfast. Eating an evening meal in the hotel restaurant would have been a bonus, but sadly it wasn't open that particular evening.
We had asked for a twin room and were initially given a double, but the lady on reception was happy to make the change for us. The rooms were clean and tidy and nicely decorated. We were also lucky and got one of the few parking spaces in the hotel courtyard.
The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice en-suite shower room. Dinner was superb.
Parking was secure, and free.
The hotel was well situated in the centre of town, and within easy walking distance of the historic medieval area.
Very good shower and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Although no food is included in the price, the hotel restaurant served an excellent three-course meal for €15. Very close to town with good free parking.
Great value hotel which was a little like going back in time but in a good way with free parking and close to the medieval centre, exceptional 3 course set meal for 15 euros and a great breakfast.
