St Valery is a smallish place that gets very busy in summer, but April was just right.
There are lots of restaurants, bistros and other places to eat.
We enjoyed a trip by boat along the bay, it was lovely to see the place from another angle.
We were right in the main street, so everything was "at hand" and easy to get to.
Lovely shops, some of them rather pricey though, but well worth a visit
Parking is a bit of a head ache, there is only one free car park as you enter St Valery, but it is quite a distance, all the others are "Payant" and not cheap. However, if you are lucky you might get a parking code from your host, and that is invaluable. Much, much better than the "pay by phone" app that they (Parking company) recommend!

Very recommendable.
As fervent readers we would have liked some nice xhairs with reading lamps, or at least reading lamps for sofa.

Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a very picturesque medieval town.
Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a very picturesque medieval town. It has many restaurants and bars, and many small local shops to enjoy. There are some large supermarkets (Intermarche and Lidl) just outside the town. These are a 5 minute drive away or a 20 - 30 minute walk. There is also a local passenger train that takes you around the estuary to Le Crotoy.

The decor at hotel Le Cap Hornu feels a little dated and could do with a lick of paint but the staff were particularly helpful. Special thanks to Nathalie and Arthur at the restaurant and Delphine at reception. Remember to make a reservation ahead of your stay for the hotel restaurant and restaurants in the town. The pool was a welcome treat after a busy day of sightseeing. St.Valerie-Sur-Somme has a steam train which takes you on a tour of the area and bay which we would have done if we had more time. Nice to walk by the harbour and soak up the atmosphere along the main street of restaurants.

One block from the waterfront, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The bakery around the corner was great!
The house was large, bigger than we needed, but would be nice for a family. The little terrace was quite tiny, but private and quiet during our stay. There are few cars on the road outside, but you need to be sure the road is clear before stepping out. The house is full of lovely nature and marine photos and art. The kitchen had everything you could need, but the oven was tiny.
Superb location . Nice view across the bay. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.
The apartment was cozy for 2 people. 2 nice armchairs. Breakfast bar.
Well equipped kitchen.
Good heating
Large bedroom with very large, comfortable bed.
St Valery is a good base for visiting le Touquet, Montreuil, Crotoy
Excellent street market on a Sunday.
Steam train and boat excursions
The views from the room were amazing.
Staff were very cheerful and happy to help. They tried to solve any problem you had.
The position of the hotel near the town was very good. Everything in walking distance.
The gardens were attractive with different seating areas. We didn’t use the spa as it was very expensive. The swimming pool was small but good.
Arrival uncomplicated. Reception staff pleasant and helpful.
Location of hotel great and ability to walk into St Valery along the water is a bonus and the views are stunning.
Amazing sunrises and sunset, This is a beautiful spot for an hotel.
Very close to St Valery and other interesting towns/villages, driving distance minimal into St Valery.
Very clean, well equipped and with a large and comfortable bed. Although we didn’t have much time to use it, we loved the terrace which caught the evening sun. The apartment was near to cafes and restaurants as well as the Chemin de Fer. An added bonus was the safe, secure parking.
Great family hotel in an old manor. The house is very beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly.
The territory of the hotel is closed during the night so it's safe. The village is small, cozy and have street with good cafes and little shops.
Nice and clean room overlooking the inner courtyard. The courtyard-side is crucial, because the front of the hotel abuts a fairly busy road. Super location near one of the entrances to the medieval quarter. Excellent breakfast and cheerful staff.
Location fantastic, hotel old and quirky and we had a room with a terrace which was great. The female member of staff at breakfast was lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was expensive (but average price for the area) but was lovely.
One of the best apartements stayed in to date. Extremely clean and quiet ans a private garden. All electrical appliances available and location great and near main road to Le Treport.
Good breakfast, restaurant (closed Sunday) food good. Discount code provided by hotel for purchasing parking tickets. (free car park is about 30 minutes walk from hotel)
