The reason for our visit was to visit the ornithological park just to the north of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer which took about half a day. We weren't particularly attracted to what is, admittedly, a lovely beach or the souvenir shops but there were lots of people having a great time. If you're into beach holidays, I doubt you'll find better. There are many decent restaurants, bars and cafes and the ones we visited were hosted by friendly, happy staff. As a kid, I'd have loved being taken there!

Pleasant to move around .
Pleasant to move around . Friendly shops an restaurants although most of the menus were similar, yet good, and fresh, fish and seafood. The church is a medieval marvel. Climb to the roof for impressive views and take time to see the birds in lagoons. Not impressed by the bulls that look like the caricature of their Spanish cousins. The horses are unique. Most of the tourist are nationals, (i.e tour buses or cruises spillover) which gives it a more peaceful allure than most other places in Provence.
Worth a couple of days stopover.

It was a lovely place and a warm welcome from the owner. A superb base to see the pleasures of the Camargue. No restaurant for dinner in hotel and we didn’t fall in love with the local town. Made a bad choice of restaurant I think. Make sure to get recommendation from hotel.

We went for the celebration of Saint Sara.
We went for the celebration of Saint Sara. The atmosphere was alive and felt family orientated. The streets and restaurants buzzing. Families brought guitars and fiddles and burst into music and song randomly. There was a huge selection of restaurants to choose from and the food was delicious.

It's a very nice place, definitely worth a visit. Also the surroundings, like Aigues Mortes, just beautiful and interesting. What was not so good was the amount of mosquitoes. But as they said there, "Mais c'est la camargue" :D
Just take some repellent!

The hotel was quaint and the staff was lovely. Furnishings were modern with local beautiful whimsical decor. The location across from the marina was perfect - short easy walk to center of town and to multiple beaches. The hotel restaurant was superb and delightful benefit to have on property — the mussels were outstanding. Parking was easy and the staff was more than willing to help with directions.
Raphael and Allan were friendly and made every effort to communicate in English and to understand our very limited French. We loved it.
Very friendly staff, always available to help.
A cosy hotel with a charming salon, and dining/breakfast room.
Nice terrace near the large pool with cool water (which is great with the usually high temps there).
The hotel is serving a delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of choice.
A simple but tasty dinner is served.
Comfortable rooms with each their own little terrace. Large beds.
Private and secured parking.
10 mins cycling to the coast line.
Great Breakfast and Sainte Helene Salade for dinner in room was beautiful and delicious. The view over the water from our room was lovely. A very nice small hotel with a friendly staff in a quiet and natural location, yet convenient to the town.
I love the hotel. It is a traditional provence house with beautiful small terrace as a garden where you can have your breakfast. We stayed at the hotel for several years since 2007. The atmosphere is wonderful.
The swimming pool was really cool and clean.
The breakfast was good.
The position is perfect if you are looking for a stay in the middle of the nature. The hotel is really close to the ornithological park!
The hotel was right on the Mediterranean. I had an upper floor with balcony to view the sea. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located just a short walk to the town square full of shops and restaurants.
Staff was very welcoming and helpful - this hotel is really well well decorated and you really enjoy the Camargue way of life. The pool is great - and you can do horse ridding right on property! Loved it
I would say that the hotel was very well placed, The gardens and terraces are magnificent The treatments and breakfasts are top notch. The staff at reception could be more friendly and more professional.
The pool was opened until 22:00, which is later than in most hotels. The breakfast was very nice! It had good quality items and one could also have boiled eggs, cheese and charcuterie.
