In a word, everything. The hosts - Alain and Valerie were most welcoming and couldn't do more for us. The location is in the heart of the vineyards, the outdoor swimming pool was great after a full day on the bike in nearly 100 degrees. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a delight with an assortment of home made jams and cookies.
The whole experience was simply wonderful.

The property has potential, but has a few wrinkles and more work to be done. The room and bathroom are generous and comfortable, but if you have any mobility issues, getting up the steep stairs could present a challenge. Nice breakfast but the terrace space is on a broken slab of concrete and the wooden chairs rickety. It is run by a young couple working on the property's restauration, so little by little. You might have better luck or a different experience.
Grotty, is the most appropriate word! The bedroom at the top of the dangerous staircase was boiling hot all night, consequently, the occupants got no sleep at all. No fan was provided, however, what it needs is air conditioning. There is no handrail to the final five steps at the top of the staircase, which in the UK, would not be tolerated. If you were in the top bedroom and wanted to use the bathroom during the night, it is quite possible that you could fall straight down the stairs. The shower curtains were filthy. At half the price we paid, it would still not be good value. I'll finish as I started, it was Grotty! Gordon Sheppard (husband of Sue)
