Great from booking to booking out was completely brilliant. We were a family of four and booked two rooms for two nights at a very good price. We were travelling from Bedfordshire for a family funeral and arrived quite late. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly and professional receptionist. She handed us our keys to the annexe building. The rooms were a delight, very clean, beds were very comfortable and a lovely bathroom.. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

First time exploring Bristol but we were only there for less than a day. What we saw was excellent, a vibrant city with lots of culture and things to do. Our experience was a positive one. The Bristol Beacon was a great venue to watch Paul Weller at and we had a lovely meal at Ciao in Denmark Street. Too many things on offer for our short trip. We will definitely be back for longer to see more that the city offers.

Clifton is a nice part of Bristol, lots of trendy cafes and bars. The Clifton Catholic Cathedral is well worth a visit - Brutalist in design but with fantastic stained glass built in the same era as Liverpool RC one, again in the round.

I liked the shopping in Bristol and the people were friendly. There are so many parts of Bristol that you would need a few days to see it all. And of course its home to Banksy, which I managed to see. There is a lot of Graffiti Art, which is amazing, but there is a lot of 'normal' graffiti which is an eyesore. The Clean Air Zones are expensive if your only visiting, £27 for two and a bit days, If you went for a week it would a lot to your break, for nothing in return. And there seems to be a lot of Traffic lights and roundabouts lol

Bristol is a great little city.

Bristol is a great little city. Nice to see some of the UK outside of London. Very close to Bath, Cardiff, and other interesting places to see. We stayed in Clifton which is a very charming little village just above the city center and very easy to get to. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we managed to figure it out quite quickly.

Bristol is a place with a lot of history & the S.S.

Bristol is a place with a lot of history & the S.S. Great Britain ship is well worth visiting. Clifton Bridge & its surrounding area is worth visiting too. Bristol though is the graffiti capital of Europe - sadly most of it has little artistic value and the city is definitively car unfriendly with so many road restrictions and cameras everywhere.

Wow, this place is perfection. From customer service leading into our stay (thanks Marion!) to the thoughtfulness of every small detail throughout the hotel (a nicely stocked honesty bar, welcome treats, lovely linens, design, usb ports for easy international traveler phone charging, INCREDIBLY comfy bed) Hort’s exceeded every expectation. The old city center location was brilliant and we were smitten with Bristol’s walkability and whimsy. The bar and restaurant were lovely. We cannot wait to visit again. Seriously, just book this place.

The room was to a very high standard with exceptionally comfortable beds, quality bathroom facilities, and easy use and reliable air-conditioning, which was much needed in this heat. If you don't know Bristol City Centre, then the location is perfect for attractions, bars and restaurants. A lovely touch as we stayed at several accommodations during our honeymoon break at the Bristol Hotel was the only accommodation that offered us complimentary gifts to celebrate our occasion.

We were pleasantly surprised as we had booked last minute to visit Bristol for a bank holiday weekend. Hotel prices were high, however we were pleasantly surprised and appreciative to have been moved to a higher floor in the hotel than we thought we had booked. Bristol city centre is a lively place day and night and we really appreciated to be higher above the city centre hubbub. The hotel staff on check in and check out were professional and friendly.

Everything was very clean, including the great big bathtub. Amazing views from the higher floors, and the elevator was very fast, which is a huge perk when you're 15 stories high. All around wonderful stay, and plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. I stayed in 4 hotels on my UK trip and the Radison Blu Bristol was easily my favorite.
