Driving through the Vikos Gorge area and heading out the next morning to Meteora, this was the perfect spot for us to spend the night after a long day of driving. Very comfortable and charming room, the grounds are lovely, and the breakfast was good and plentiful.

After coronavirus Greek mountains are empty, we were nearly alone at the hotel, yet stuff took all the effort to make our stay comfortable. Our family room was large and had a terrace. Breakfast was amazing, freshly prepared and rich. And we also ate dinner here, which while lacking several items from the menu, was very good. One thing we will remember is the view... Breathtaking! We hiked Bikos gorge on the next day, but IMO views from Elati were even better.

You can easily get to many hiking trails in just few minutes drive from the hotel. Alternatively you can have a walk in a wild forest, just get up a few steps up. Breakfast from Ms. Popi is amazing but the same applies to every food/dessert produced by her kitchen. The next time we visit Zagorochoria, for sure we will stay at Shamrock Elati again.
