Excellent service, we felt at home right from the start when we were greeted by Maria Eleni at the reception, our room was upgraded and she gave us complementary dinner. We liked the see view and the quiet room. Breakfast was also good with large variety of food. Thank you!

We used this hotel for 2 nights at the start and end of a trip to Andros. We liked its proximity to the port of Rafina and Athens Airport. It was good value for money and entirely in line with what we would expect, given what it cost. The room was perfectly adequate and the breakfast completely satisfying. We also found the staff to be extremely friendly.

We were welcomed with a smile and warm greetings. Informed us of the times food would be served, for evening and breakfast, asked if we needed anything, if so please ask. Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
We have stayed at Cabo Verde in the past and find it a quiet oasis after a long flight or before a long return flight. The staff are very pleasant and always helpful. They booked a taxi to pick us up from the ferry and then to take us to the airport and it was very efficient. Every room has a sea view which is lovely. The pool area is pleasant with a pool bar which is likely open until the end of September. We enjoy the hotel and recommend it as a wonderful stopover. We spend 3 nights on our return and it is pleasant and relaxing.
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
Mati Hotel is our favourite place to stay and we have been going there for some years now. On our annual trips to Greece. The staff are lovely, friendly and really helpful. The location is great, right on the coast with fantastic views over the bay of Marathon and Evia. It’s quiet and peaceful and there’s a beautiful large swimming pool. The decor is tasteful with some nice antique and art deco pieces. Very handy for the airport and the port of Rafina too, they will arrange taxi transfers for you. Excellent value for money.
There was ample food and choices
Please make sure your room has breakfast included because lady in room questioned us and was a bit confused sue to not speaking English and we had to clarify with front desk ..they handled it by having us pay separately at front desk ..lady in restaurant didn’t know what to do except say “NO BREAKFAST” which was a bit concerning because listing on info is a bit confusing “says breakfast buffet at hotel” clarify before making the reservation $12 Eur. If not included.
Well appointed and maintained classic Athens hotel with wonderful restaurant, bar and pool area. Situated along the Euboea Gulf, it has great views. Owner and staff were very welcoming and attentive. Excellent fresh seafood all reasonably priced. Stayed there to be somewhat closer to the airport in an Athens seaside suburb. I wish we could have stayed longer. Friendly neighborhood with many Athenians spending their eves in Mati.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent with a wonderful view of the sea. Impeccable cleaning. The food was excellent. The perfect location for those who want a calm holiday close to beaches, but also not too far from the center of Athens (around 50 minutes by car). The pool area is very pleasant, with plenty of space to sunbathe.
Waterfront hotel with a great view. Staff were very helpful. Couldn’t take full advantage of the facilities because it was pouring rain but the pool and outdoor area is really nice. Would have liked some water in the room. Not even a glass to drink from the tap. About 30 minutes to the airport so a good alternative to staying in the city before our flight
friendly staff, breakfast was good, bottle of wine in the room was a nice touch. Marta the property manager did a great job of checking on and conversing with customers and ensuring any issues or concerns were addressed and corrected if required. Really enjoyed the stay will make an effort to stay there again, while vacationing in Greece.
Beautiful beachfront hotel. Staff service was exceptional. Both Maria at reception who went above and beyond to accomodate our requests and Maria in the restaurant (yes, both Marias) who seemed to anticipate our needs. Both ladies were so warm and friendly.
Great hotel for our one night stopover in Athens. Wish we had longer with them!
I felt like I was walking into a hotel that used to be of grand quality but had deteriorated some over the years. Our room had a balcony with a nice view. The older couple who I assumed were the owners were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was filling and the only negative thing was the hot water pressure.
Best service I’ve ever experienced. I felt so valued as a customer. The room service called me the evening before my check out if I need an early breakfast or anything else extra arrangements. I got even a complimentary dinner. This is not a five star hotel, this is a 7 star hotel what it comes to service.
The rooms and the hotel in general are very clean. The room overlooking the sea has a fantastic view, and is a treat if you like sunrises. The staff are very friendly and breakfast has a great selection.
This hotel was perfect for us to relax and enjoy it. Ms Magda, the manager, and her team were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended RAMADA BY WYNHAM ATHENS ATTICA RIVIERA.
Very reasonable rate for a short notice booking. Hotel was satisfactory for a cheap stopover. Owner was very helpful and ordered a taxi back to Rafina port at a very good rate.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nice with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is lovely and very generous. The perfect location for a break!
