A great country to visit with plenty to see and do. Croatia has been in the pipeline for a while & I’m so glad I went. Not many countries make me go back but it’s ticked so many boxes for me. If you can hire a car, this would be really beneficial. Mountains, rivers, lakes & lush green clean countryside. Excellent & exactly what I wanted.

Zadar is a very nice city on the Adriatic sea with all the facilities you need. The old town is really marvelous. We will surely returm to Zadar and apartments Basioli. We were very satisfied with the apartment and the friendly and helpfull owners.

Brilliant city, we only had a few days and wished we had longer. I’d say you need a car to get around but because we didn’t need to use public transport I can’t really comment on how good it is. Loads to see and do, went with a young family and they loved the sea organs!

Zadar is such a gem, I cannot recommend this city enough. I visited in early April and the weather was fantastic but there were not many tourists so that was a positive. All shopkeepers, waiters, and people in hospitality/tourism I spoke with were all so friendly. The owner is really nice and gave us an upgrade of the room we initially booked and also some useful travel advice. We also got to meet Blinks, the very cute dog that "guards" the property. It is true that you have to walk about 30 min, or 15 min+cheap boat to get to the city center, but the hotel area is far more quiet and relaxing.
