Great location - the Dublin Airport Express is literally across the street (drop off) and a block away (pick up); it's the second stop. The red line tram is behind the hotel and will take you to Heuston train station (points south), and less than 10 min walk to the train at Connolly station (points north). You can never get lost because the hotel is right on the river!
Room was nicer than some Marriott's I stay in for business travel in the States! Espresso maching with daily biscuit and bottled water refreshed. Very modern, and comfortable bed and linens, very clean. Large flat screen tv and plenty of mirrors. Nice toiletries from Rituals. I did not take a room with river view or balcony, and it was very quiet.
Staff was friendly and helpful in storing my bag upon arrival and check out, and booking me a taxi for dinner out. I did not eat at the hotel- there are a few coffee options on the plaza next to the hotel, if you want to save money on breakfast - but I did have a drink and the bartenders were friendly.

We used it mainly as base to visit Dublin (it's 20-30 minutes by tram) but spent some time walking down the harbour, it's quite beautiful and you can see people learning sailing. There's some museums and monuments worth visiting (sadly we didn't have enough time), and good places to eat. Make sure you try the fish & chips by the waterside. We were actually there for their local St. Pat's parade and it was such a great time!

Dun laoghaire is a special place to me.
Dun laoghaire is a special place to me. My gran swam almost every day in sandy cove. I've raced ironman 70.3 also from sandy cove. And the pier is always a place of memories as my aunt also lived nearby. I learned to sail in the harbour on visits as a kid. The town has a lively lovely coastal vibe.

Hotels offers a wonderful Breakfast for 15 euros and standard Pub menu for dinner usually with a daily special. The Pub was first rate and has plenty of beverages to select from, I would suggest a pint of Guiness. Parking is adequate although a little tight for larger sedans. The rooms are very well kept and bathrooms are supplied well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to use this Hotel for future visits to the Dublin area.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area.
It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area. We had no view, so we couldn't really enjoy it. We were there for such a short time it was wasted on us. The room had a smell like sewer, but the beds were comfortable. The reservations desk seemed a little clueless.
The breakfast was really expensive, so we couldn't eat there and when i got recommendations for restaurants by the water, the reservationist lady only recommended one restaurant, Hardies, which was affiliated with the hotel. It was hard to get into and there were at least two other restaurants we could go to.

Lovely harbor town!
Lovely harbor town! Good public transport to/from, many restaurants and cafes, great views. We enjoyed walking along the harbor piers. We had great food at The Vanilla Pod, Gourmet Cafe, and Sushida! We used the DART to travel to Bray one day, went into Dublin and up to Howth other days. Wish we could have stayed longer!

My main issue is lack of good signposting for electric charge points for cars. The 2 spaces were I occupied by non electric cars. Hotel needs to do more to ensure Thai does not happen as it seriously impacted my onward journey not being able to charge my car overnight.
Stayed two nights at Claremont House last week. Ideally located near DART and easy access to Dublin city centre. Short walk to beautiful Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove. Daniel, owner of Claremont, has his own restaurant close by called "Daniels" - what a gem! It's small and cozy but the food produced is all fresh and mouthwatering and something you would expect from a Michelin restaurant - can't recommend it highly enough!!
If you want to experience what Ireland once was, book a night in this mini period house. I liked it very much. The room has a character of bygone times. The owners keep everything clean and tidy. With a map I found it without any difficulty. It was only a short 4 minute walk from Glenageary Dart Station. I chose traditional breakfast which was filling and very tasty. I'm grateful for this lovely experience.
Lovely property in a nice quiet location
Very easy check in and good communication from hosts before regarding location and parking etc
Easy walk to DART to get into Dublin with trains running regularly and close to ferry port too
Spacious comfortable room with en suite bathroom
Extremely clean
Nice breakfast
Stayed here many times. Its good value for money indeed and nice little place near everything in the town luckily for me never had rowdy noise in there always been quite not sure how sound proofed it would be if busy? As its small but i do enjoy it in the area! So stay here regular if travelling to Ireland 🇮🇪
The best thing is the location. Dun Laoghaire is beautiful, 1/2 hour from Dublin downtown via DART, and many amenable places to eat. It's also a quiet and relaxed neighborhood. The bedroom was clean. It offers an electric kettle and oreo cookies.
Friendly and helpful reception and all staff. Clean and comfortable room, to an exceptionally high standard. View over the sea and harbour was stunning! Italian restaurant serves top quality Italian food and wine. Best 3-star hotel in Ireland.
The room was very comfortable with the best pillows I have ever slept on! Breakfast was excellent with a great selection and the hotel's location is in the heart of Dun Laoghaire ensures it is a perfect location for exploring the area/
The only thing this property has going for it is location. It is convenient to the rail station into Dublin. Otherwise, it is not worth staying here and I suspect there are other options in the area, equally convenient.
Very nice place, convenient location, easy to get there. A bit further from Dun Laoghaire than would be ideal, but not a problem anyway. Only a 20 minute walk. Comfortable enough, easy parking. Quiet and peaceful.
Room was comfortable and nice. Pool was very spacious and not too crowded. Decent roadside hotel but a bit of a distance from Dunleary if you are without car.
