The bird park is exceptional. So clean and a joy to be in.
The bird park is exceptional. So clean and a joy to be in. We saw sooooo many birds. Our guide Rinkesh was very knowledgeable and found so many birds for us. We also saw antelope, deer and a couple of jackal. We decided to walk and were up for the 06.00 opening. We covered about 10km on foot over 4 hours. Wear good shoes or boots if you are going to do this. Rinkesh carried a Japanese telescope with him which was just brilliant for the long distance birds. The plus on going in late April was that although the migratory birds were not there, the water was low so the wading birds were very close.

For me it`s a bit special since I have been visiting this place infrequently since 30 yrs back when I have seen majestic Siberian Crane too. Use Bicycle or walk

1 night stay to visit Bird sanctuary in the morning. We reached early in the morning to Bird Sanctuary - 730 AM and hence could chose good condition bicycles. We took a guide who was very knowledgeable and was with telescope and binoculars. We enjoyed cycling and lot of beautiful birds.

It's within walking distance of the incredible Keoladeo National Park where you can enjoy wildlife, scenery, and peaceful walking and cycling. The hosts here are very friendly, kind, and helpful. The home cooked food is brilliant (especially the aloo gobi and breakfast pancakes). The friendly and social atmosphere creates the perfect environment to chat to other guests around the fire and share your experiences from the day.
