Comfy b and b in beautiful location with great views of Aci Castello and Aci Trezza, right on the seafront. Well looked after by Frederico and his mum. He will gladly help with any information about the area, things to do, and will book them for you. Good breakfast, mainly bread and pastries, but Frederico will provide eggs, cereals and yoghurts on request

Lovely pool area and garden, but as we went early in the season the pool was not full. Fabulous terrrace overlooking the sea to sit out and enjoy the view.

We had a great time in this adorable B&B. You will enjoy the stunning view on Catanio and the Ionic Sea while having your breakfast. If you need an advice, just ask Antonio. He will be happy to help you. You should for sure follow his advice when he recommends a restaurant, we did not regret it.
Offering inner courtyard views, La Castellese is an accommodation set in Aci Castello, 1.8 km from Acitrezza Beach and 11 km from Catania Piazza Duomo.

The keys were handed over easily by telephone. The gate and the apartment door were opened by radio remote control. The landlord is very friendly and helpful. It was possible for me, on request, to move into the apartment before the agreed time. Many thanks again for this!
There is a small garden, but it is surrounded by walls. The room (bed, kitchenette, dining table) is practically furnished. There is fast internet and the bed is very comfortable.

Locals were rude and often very Arrogant and attempted to overcharge far too many times. They hope you won’t challenge them about it. My advice is , Ask how much before paying and Check your receipts and bills .
The town is scruffy and dirty. The vast amounts of discarded Rubbish on the streets is difficult to ignore. Definitely would not return.
Positive note : The sea view and the sunset is beautiful.

Actually Frasteva is located in the town of Valverde not in Aci Castello, which is a short drive awa. It is more inland than Aci Castello and it is convenient to all of the towns that make up "Paesi Etnei", that is, the little towns on the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, which are suburbs of Catania. It is a great jumping off point for Taormina, Catania and Siracusa and is a twenty-five minute ride to the airport, depending on traffic.
What makes this newly renovated and picturesque venue a perfect stay are the wonderful accomodations and the personal and cheery attention to detail given to all that stay there by its host, Stefania. She is simply an absolute pleasure to interact with. I am going there the next time I return to the Catania area and I assure anyone who stays there that they will not be disappointed.

Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT!
Aci Trezza is beautiful...the place we stayed in is NOT! It had literally a derelict entrance, with wires dangling from the ceiling, parts of which appeared to be about to give in; filthy place (I was expecting to see rats it was that bad!)....It is NOT close to the beach (although the place had a seaview); I would certainly NOT recommend to anybody! Will most certainly not book again! If I were to rate it honestly I would give a 2/10 and the 2 is only for the seaview!

Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea.
Very quiet place .. Small but very connected to the sea. So fish is staple. It is a bit laid back . Think basic and you will love it.
It is such a shame that the towns coming down to Aci Castello (note that this town is close to sea level) have a lot of garbage scattered around and gives you a very different vibe of this beautiful basic fishing village ..

Aci Castello is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area - the wonderful coastline up to Taormina, the great sights while trekking around Etna, and breathtaking villages like Castiglione di Sicilia.
Aci Castello is smaller and quieter than its walk-to, more touristy neighbour Aci Trezzo, and 'The Sea You Can Feel' is a unique place to stay, perched high above the rocky coastline. There are stunning 360 degree views from the spacious roof terrace, a perfect place to indulge in a sundowner or two, whilst the 'lookout' below has 3 walls of windows for relaxing and taking in the amazing location!
The owners, Giuseppe and Antonella are passionate about Sicily and gave us loads of useful advice.
Great location close to the core of AciTrezza, with free parking. Great view of the Costa dei Ciclopi from apartment.
I loved the gas stove. Internet was fine. Friendly and supportive hosts.
Spectacular are the neighbouring towns. AciTrezza itself is a charming fishing village. AciCastello, which can be reached by foot in 20 minutes, has a nice castle and a sea terrace with relaxing cafes. Acireale is a spectacular middle-sized town with a fascinating passegiata and great shopping. Taormina is a 40 minutes ride away.
Thrilled we selected Villa Ortensia and chose to stay outside Catania in Aci Castello. Great location to explore the Mt. Etna region and day-trip to Taormina. From our balcony we enjoyed the sunrise over Ionian Sea each morning. Breakfast was a great assortment of items to kick off the day (yogurt for protein, no meat or cheese). Secured parking on street with gate. Easy walk to several restaurants for evening fare. After driving in Catania and trying to find parking, it's a no brainer to head north to stay and explore!
The location of the apartment is perfect, only 5 minutes from the sea, a grocery store, and great restaurants! The host was so kind, and nice, when we arrived she welcomed us with delicious sweets! The apartment is really clean and comfortable, the pillows are amazing to sleep on! The balconies were a blessing and the view was great, on the roof the terrace is easily accessible and a great place to relax, or sunbathe! It was a pleasure to stay here, and if we come back to Sicily we will definitely stay here again!

Phenomenally beautiful apartment overlooking the sea- the most beautiful, indeed, of all of the places I stayed in Sicily! Lots of plants and furnishings helped make it feel more like a home than a hotel, and the views of Etna and the ocean were extraordinary! Signora Pavone could not have been nicer- she waited over 45 minutes on the street for my arrival (I took the wrong highway exit!) and made it as easy as possible for me to leave in the predawn to catch my flight! Much appreciated!!
Fantastic B&B. Gina goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. She’s friendly, flexible and giving. The breakfast is great (she bakes delicious biscotti!), the room is squeaky clean and the bed is very, very comfortable. Gina told me she changed the mattress recently, so if you read other reviews about the bed, note this is no longer an issue. I slept like a baby.
The balcony was cute and the place well connected to Catania by bus.
Great location to rocky beach and sea sports facilities and restaurants. Two apartments sharing main entrance with large roof top terrace with sea view. Each apartment has a long balcony private. Newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen, new fridge and appliances, soft towels and lovely shower and bathroom. Public parking near restaurants available, may get tricky during dinner time so ask host for free private parking address.
It was our second time at La Terrazza, and won’t be the last one. Everything was great. Apartment is located right at the seafront. It has two big terraces, one overlooking the sea and the castle. Many restaurants, shops and cafes are within walking distance. Lucrezia (owner) is very warm and helpful person and she will make sure you have enjoyable stay. She also bakes the best pear tarts ever!
Peppe our host made us welcomed at his place, the the hospitality service is beyond exceptional. He was very helpful on all of our inquiries on the area. Breakfast was very lavish and delicious. The facilities were all very clean and the views of Aci Castello, particularly in the morning, were just breathtaking! Grazie tanto - we will definitely be back! :)
The size of the room and bathroom were perfect. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony was so relaxing and nice to sit on. A one minute walk to the water and to a few delicious restaurants. Even though it is part of someone’s home I felt very comfortable and welcome. My host was also a huge help in figuring out transportation.
It's clean, comfortable, hot water, wifi, beautiful view, walking distance from the beach, the marina and a range of bars, restaurants, etc. The owner is really friendly, helpful and responsive. I was very happy to sit and work on the balcony, with birdsong from the left and the sea view on the right, day and night.
There is an amazing view of the sea with access to the beach just across the street. The swimming pool in the back was delightful and refreshing! staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and the 3 Cyclops was a very memorable experience.
Good location, nice and very clean apartment, kind host, lovely Aci Castello. Bus stop towards Catania is close (3 min). Lido la Giunca beach is 15 min walk, cristal clear sea, sunbrellas, good prices at the bar. La Luna pizzeria at the main square is also recommended.
The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The apartment is lovely and very comfortable. I liked the fact it was so central and I could get to shops, restaurants etc so easily and yet it was quiet.Acitrezza is a beautiful area.
We loved the location. Everything about the neighborhood was great. It met our needs perfectly. The recommendations for places to go and things to do were put to good use and very much appreciated.
