Nice welcome after a tiresome journey. The parking was great and the area was very quiet this time of year.
Set in a villa Dating back to 1940 and refurbished in 2012, Hotel Il Miraggio is just 300 metres from Fregene’s seaside. Wi-Fi connection is free while a sweet Italian-style breakfast is served daily....

The property had everthing you could need and it was well thought and organized. The book with information was very helpful . The sound sistem and the table and chairs outside were a very nice touch.
It's the nearest sea from Rome.
The problem is buses are not often passing there.
There are not that much for explore at the city centre.
I like that quiet area between the bus stop and the beach.

I was looking for a place to stay near the airport for one night. The place is all farms & basically very inconvenient to get to. All back roads. One can see the airport, but to get to it, it takes half hour. I was told that taxi drivers don't even want to take anyone there & they charge extra. If one. comes without a car , u are stranded. The morning we left there was a couple outside & they said they had been waiting for a cab for about half hour. Avoid Fregene, unless one is looking for a farmland stay

The resort was just a 30 minutes taxi ride from the Roma airport. Due to Covid-19 the resort was not a busy as I expected, but enough people around so I didn't feel like I was the only person there. Restaurants were still open, although not all of them. The resort was great for a lazy long weekend, sitting by the pool and walking along the beach. I'm thinking of going back next month, Covid-19 permitting.

Restaurants were quaint and offered delicious food. This
would be a great family beach in the summer or for couples
or adults. It is definitely not a "party location."

The beach club restaurants were a little disorganised and I found the pasta dishes to be not as I expected. it is very difficult to get around Fregene without some sort of your own transport. In hindsite I woulf recommend hiring a car if you are going to Fregene as the public transport is very limited. The beach clubs are for the most very worn out, and there are very few shops close to the beach area.
The town is a lot of very nice houses to look at, but the beach was split up by different beach clubs. I would have liked to visit the nature reserve but it was very hard to access it from the town. The Restaurants in the town were good and I really enjoyed S Club's atmosphere.

Fregene a small village in Italy. Was amazing.
Fregene a small village in Italy. Was amazing. Hotel across the beach and beach restaurants made it convenient. The staff was very friendly and would def recommend it to family and friends. it was a nice get-away after we had been in paris for 4 days. It is a 30 min car ride at 6 am to Vatican and so well worth the stay to get away from he more touristy places like Rome and the OCEAN VIEW of our 2nd floor room made it so relaxing. The bicycles on the property are available to use at no extra charge and came in handy when we rode into town to the supermarket for the few things we needed. Totally an amazing place to stay. NOT LUXURIOUS - but very COZY and VERY CLEAN. loved every minute of it.
The apartment itself was so welcoming! the apartment has everything you need! There is a cafe about 50 feet away! perfect to get a small pizza, a pastry, coffee or a drink. The grocery store is 6 mins away. Easy to get to and has anything you would want to eat or drink. the bus stop is at the end of the block to go to FCO or into Rome. the apartment is wonderful you will enjoy your stay .
Hostess was super friendly and really helpful. She waited for us till late midnight knowing that we come around 2:00 a.m , although we arrived one hour late , she still welcomed us with the brightest smile . That’s what l call real hospitality. The beach is on foot also only 10 minutes away which makes ur stay unforgettable. Top Top!!!
A last minute booking due to a delayed flight, the reservation was handled promptly and efficiently with detailed instructions on how to enter the property, which is well located in Fregene close to the beach, airport, shops. Very quiet location yet still close to Fiumicino airport. Simple parking and very clean.
It was one of the best stays I have ever had, and by far the best in Rome. The best way to describe it is peaceful. The staff was very acomodating, the rooms were well equipt, breakfast was delicious and the house was wonderfully decorated. You can tell they love the place. It was also very close to the beach.
our room was lovely - very tasteful. Communication was very good - they put us in touch with a lovely taxi driver who picked us up at airport and told us about the coffee place nearby fur the morning. The on-site restaurant is excellent! we sat under olive trees - wonderful ambience and food.
The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and very nice and had a beautiful sea view. We took a swim in the lovely pool which was very refreshing. The property is very tastefully decorated with lots of seating areas. We were very pleased that the hotel was close to the airport as well.
I was passing through on my way to FCO. I had come from an overnight train to Rome, and checked in a bit after that. I basically stayed there to sleep and write the entire time, and it was a nice place for that, and then had to catch a plane the next morning.
beautiful hotel, very close to the sea, the owner is responsive and helpful. early check-in and late check-out without any problems and extra charges. fresh croissants and coffee every morning. Thanks Giorgio)
it was beautiful, clean, comfortable, only a block from the beach and 2 blocks from town. I can’t say enough about how welcomed and relaxed we felt being there. Also, it is a gated property so we felt so safe.
Antonella, the host was outstanding. Great welcoming, she took us to the beach to see the sunset and made our stay unforgettable. The added service of shuttle early morning for was very useful.
Good location just a few steps away from the beach. There are bicycles to use for free. Breakfast is fine, we just miss some salty options because there were only cakes (very tasty, though!).
good location, although beach access isn't well established, since businesses seemed to border the sea. accommodations were adequate, the bed was comfortable. nice bathroom.
The Hotel is 30 min from the airport. There is a big parking area for cars.
The sea is very close but I didn't find the way to the beach.
breakfast was nice.
The restaurant on the premises was great, one of the best meals we had in Italy. Great food, attention and ambience. The room was large and comfortable.
