Everything. Stuning Tuscany and a hotel is a dream. Would recommend it and will be back as soon as possible. Breakfast is a clasic tuscan-italian breakfast and the choice of food is fenomenal. There is not one thing we did not like. A little recommendation to the hotel would be to organize a shuttle bus from the center of town because the climb to the hotel is soo steep and you can not find a taxi service in Colle Val D Elsa that easy, and with luggage it is not convinient to reach hotel. But oh so worth the climb.

Excellent building and sorroundings. Friendly and knowledgable staff always smily and willing to help. Hotel in its previous lives was the cottage home of Pope and before that was a monastery!!! The style is unique. Breakfast really good and the restaurant at a magical place which used to be the cellar or some!! The menu of the latter though not at the high standards of the rest of the venue. Beds among the best i have ever experienced. Rooms are really spacious. Among the facilities there is a large pool in a green beautuful landscape around it.
Just 3 miles from San Gimignano, Le Terre Rosse is close to the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrim route to Rome.

It was our first real Tuscan hotel after a few nights in Florence. And it was like a breath of fresh air. I could return anytime for the garden with the incredible pool or the beyond amazing breakfast. Of course the room was spot clean and modern.
