All Ferrari-themed, but not over the top. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well, good selection. The best though are the Reception staff that made us feel welcome and took time to have a conversation with us, recommend some local places to eat & even some aceterias to find local balsamic vinegar. Especially Ardit and Riccardo, thank you so much for your personalised service and your recommendations!
Set in Maranello, 19 km from Modena Theatre, Hotel Villa Maranello offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar.

Like many reviewers mentioned, shortly after the booking we were notified that we should check-in in the Planet hotel, not Drake, so the review is about Planet hotel.
The hotel is very close (less than 10 minutes on foot) to Ferrari museum and just in front of the entrance of Ferrari facility; quite a big supermarket is also not far away.
Bathroom was equipped with disposable toothcare sets.
Very well (maybe even excessive) heating.
Cafe (with no dinner options) downstairs.
Balcony with tables and chairs (see photo attached).
Set directly in front of Ferrari's Wind Tunnel, Maranello Palace offers modern and elegant rooms, suites and apartments, just one kilometre from the city centre.

Generally one reason why you visit Maranello and that is to experience the iconic world of Ferrari. Do the museum tour, do the factory tour and eat at Ristorante Cavallino, for those that understand, it becomes quite nostalgic, and at times emotional and you feel Enzo's passion.
Ristorante Cavallino - a fabulous experience and hard to imagine that so many iconic people met and had lunch there, truly special & memorable.

The theme of the hotel, so exited for the kids even adults.
The theme of the hotel, so exited for the kids even adults. Room was clean, more than enough supply of toiletries in the bathroom. Extra towels too. Staff was very nice and friendly. The only downside If you want to have dinner you have to have a car to drive around. The restaurant in the hotel was not exquisite cuisine…more like fast food. Still great place to stay.

We stayed 2 nts in Maranello. On arrival we went to Dinner at Drake and then our full day was spent at Ferrari Modena (classic exhibitions) and then back to Ferrari Maranello - factory compound bus tour followed by museum which was modern display and f1 area which we loved!
We eat at the Paddock restaurant- delicious food!
Next day we went to Lamborghini Museum 30min away. And travelled to venice - great road trip!

Maranello, as the saying goes is about "fast cars, slow life".
And that is exactly what you will find.... Ferrari is of course the major attraction, and if you are a fan, it is a 100% immersive experience.
We also came to dine at Massimo Botero's restaurant, Cavallino, situated at Ferrari - and it was simply awesome, exactly what we expected.
Talking of food - the brakfast at our B&B (Villa Esther) was simply superb.
And the DolceCrema Gelataria in the centre of the town, offers the best Gelato we tasted in a month long trip to Tuscany and Florence.
The town itself is small, mostly flat, and easily walkable.
We took a bus from Modena to Maranello - it is a short ride, but there are taxis operating too.

Maranello is not just about Ferrari, although they are the high profile local interest, with the factory, museum and other aspects of interest. It is a nice little town situated in a rural agricultural area of Italy, south of Modena. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to visit and the place has a nice atmosphere.

We had a tour of the Ferrari factory scheduled mid-week of our visit. For a Ferrari fan Maranello is like heaven. It is easy to walk to most all locations if you are staying at the Planet Hotel. We dined at Ristorante Cavallino, Montana, the Drake, Carisma and Osteria Emilana. We also visited the Ferrari Museum and did some shopping in town. If you are looking for local wines, very reasonably priced and snacks for late night in your hotel room go to Conad's, Piazza Unità D'Italia, SNC, 41053 Maranello , just South of the Planet Hotel. We found that many of the Ferrari factory workers shop there.

The best was the "apartment" kind of room we stayed in, with lots os space for a family of four. Even though we did not use the kitchen or living room area, we took advantage of the big washer and dryer. We were half way on our Italy trip, so having them in our room was a comfortable bonus. The Ferrari decor added fun and excitement to the main reason of our visit to this town, and the proximity to the museum was another advantage. The breakfast was excellent. and there is plenty of parking space.
There was no air conditioning in our room even though it is listed on our reservation!!! In a fancy hotel during the heat of summer in Modena and no air conditioning???
The front desk fellow at check in and during our stay was most unhelpful. He told us to just open our windows, that there were "no mosquitos" so we didn't have to worry. That was a complete lie. Our room would fill with mosquitos if we opened the windows. Would not return here and will definitely not recommend it
Wonderful old countryside house, it seems to be caught in a 1950s time warp. Old original furniture and old details. Breakfast under the trees and a lovely, committed host, who is managing organic farm cultivations in the surroundings. Don't expect any luxury, it's 1950 and you should live as in those times, but I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did :)
Will be back again, definitely!
The Maranello Suite is Just 10 minute walk from the museum of Ferrari, from the balkony you feel the atmosphere of Ferrari. Inside the apartament is clean and light but at night is quiet. It was perfect place for a family of 4.The owner is dedicated and cantact is without any problem. He recomended us a pizzeria with exellent food and reasonable prices.

Enzo provided exceptional service, making our stay truly memorable and the breakfast was great. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and outstanding hospitality.
Breakfast was fine. The food was nice and had plenty of options. The location was absolutely excellent. I could easily walk to all of the nearby Ferrari attractions. I also liked having a balcony that overlooked the historic entrance gate to the Maranello Ferrari factory. Room was stocked with both regular and frizzy water which was excellent.
Hotel Villa Maranello was a perfect spot for our family of four. The beds and shower were great and the A/C ran well. We loved the location and the easy parking. Enzo was very easy to communicate with both before and during our visit. Breakfast was superb! We would definitely stay again.
Super friendly hosts who told everything about the family, history and the region.
Big bonus! We got to meet grandpa at Sunday’s lunch and experienced Italian hospitality!
Quiet location close to Maranello, 3min drive to the Ferrari museum.
Big and clean room, excellent breakfast.
The hotel is super comfortable, the rooms are very modern. The bathroom is spacious, the shower is very nice. The breakfast was outstanding. Overall this is a great little B&B if you are interested in visiting the Ferrari factory and the city centre
The b&b is brand new, tastefully decorated, spotless and conveniently situated next to Ferrari’s factory and in the city centre of Maranello. The hosts are most courteous and the breakfast was excellent. The best b&b I have visited in years!
All the staff members were really friendly and ready to help. If somebody is interested in the typically red painted cars, then the location is fantastic. Otherwise there is not much around the hotel.
Italy became European champion football, that evening.
It was a wonderful event and the hotel staff was very much involved in a positive way.
Dinner and breakfast were good as well.
