This is my first time in Chino. The town is nature-inspired and the views are fantastic. The city is clean and though small it makes you feel welcome. The green mountains and lively autumn trees just starting to show their colors is a sight to behold! Pretty fabulous.
The Bakery Heartful Bread has a variety of pastries, breads and sandwiches palatable and tasty.
Loved the atmosphere of this Ryokan in Chino. I was so happy to have made this stop. Facilities are clean. Loved the opportunity to open up the sliding doors of the spacious rooms and have a BBQ outside. The sake bar and the "pour your own" options was a treat. I wish I booked more than one night. The owner and staff were very accommodating and friendly and eager to visit with us when we sat in the lounge.
Situated at the top of Kuruma Mountain, this hotel is in a wonderful location.
The room was spacious (relative to other Japanese hotels) and was well maintained.
The wifi was in general excellent and the flat screen TV could connect to my PC (unlike many other Japanese hotels).
Staff were courteous and friendly (I don't know if they speak English... they all chose to speak in Japanese to me).
Beautiful hotel with old world feel in lounge library and lobby, lovely lux rooms, great indoor and outside onsens, luxurious ladies bedrock sauna, delicious dining experience in private dining rooms, very pretty in snowy valley with sounds of the river. Hotel provided shuttle from station and to Pilatus Tateshina Ski Resort.
The hosts treated us to a dinner meal after we arrived which was amazing, and every breakfast we were served was different and delicious every time! They take into account what you like and dislike and change the breakfast accordingly. The hosts couldn't be more friendly and helpful during our stay!
The open-air onsen was really good, great views. Also, the hotel staff, with 1 gentleman in particular, was very helpful with helping us book a taxi to a slightly remote location the next day. The view from our room, on the basement level, was great. It overlooked the river/waterfall.
Great guest house in chino! Makes you feel like you’re living the traditional lifestyle in Japan. Great place to unwind from all the big city’s we visited. Had their own little bar and have food too! Plus free parking which is great and rare in Japan.
Very nice hotel with goo d breakfast and nice views. The baths up the top offer a lovely view at night.
If you arrive by train to Chino, you might need a taxi to get there as the hotel is a bit far from the train station.
Very nice hotel in the picturesque area. There are facilities (indoor pool, ping pong table)to use on a rainy day. Good onsen with sauna and 露天風呂(open air bath). The rooms are clean and spacious. Healthy breakfast.
Well-located Hotel with friendly staff. Hotel provided a list of food options and onsens around which we really enjoyed. Room was spacious with a lot of amenities and even a massage Gadget.
